I was not required to do so, but the bottom ties were provided. To shorten the slats, I imagine it would be relatively simple to untie and remove individual slats.

For a measuring tip, see the review! So far, I'm pleased with them. If your window casing is 35 inches wide, order the blinds in that size and they will fit perfectly because they will be 34 1/2 inches wide. br>I tried to order blinds for a smaller window but this company didn't have the size I needed, so I ordered them from a company called Dez furnishings through Amazon. I assumed the same principle would apply, but when the blinds arrived, they were too tight because they didn't come a half inch narrower like I expected. Also, be aware that if you make a mistake with the measurements, you won't get a full refund from either company if you have to return them.
These faux wood blinds are very nice. Before writing this review, I had been using these blinds on a daily basis. They are simple to open. to close and to increase lowering my blinds, despite the fact that they are large and cover two windows They are light in weight and appear to be very sturdy when compared to real wood blinds. Some faux wood blinds don't have a wood grain look on the slats, but these do. My first box arrived bent, one end completely open, and metal pieces falling out of a hole in the box; my second box arrived bent, one end completely open, and metal pieces falling out of a hole in the box; my third box arrived bent, one end completely open, and metal pieces falling out of a hole in the box; my fourth box arrived bent, one end completely open, and metal pieces falling This was NOT the fault of the company (I blame the shipping company). I contacted the company, and they requested that I return it (with a shipping label provided by them). That was fine with me, but they needed to arrange for a pickup because it was too large and heavy for me to carry and load in my car. After some back and forth with this company and amazon because they didn't seem to want the item picked up and instead wanted me to track down the shipper and deliver it to them, I was instructed to photograph the box and email it to the company. After that, I received a new one. Please make sure to measure according to the directions, as an eighth of an inch can make a big difference. They do not provide shipping for returns. The cost of returning it was the same as the cost of purchasing it. This was revealed to me when I placed an order for a blind and received notification that the payment had failed. Because I was not home to check into things at the time, I reordered using a different card, thinking there was a problem with my card. Well, there must have been a processing error because both cards were charged, and I received two blinds. I didn't need one of them. My final word would be that the blinds are great, but not so much when it comes to dealing with the company; it cost way too much to ship it back, and they would not budge on that, even though it was not my fault; so my final word would be that the blinds are great, but not so much when it comes to dealing with them.
) and we couldn't find any blinds that were large enough in stores. We ordered these and they're fantastic! We have a 10-month-old crawler, so cordless was a must. Because we were installing them outside the window frame on very rough textured walls, installation was a little tricky. They look fantastic once they're up. The lift- They have a very smooth pull action and we have had no issues with them.
It is not a low-cost product. They're the best in the business. I had them installed by someone else, so I can't comment on that. However, they look fantastic and the price is unbeatable; I had someone come to my house to give me an estimate for the entire house, and it was around $3000. This company did my entire house for less than $500. Simply amazing! I also like that it is cordless.
These blinds have made a big impression on me. They are durable and of high quality. It took me about 30 minutes to complete the installation, which included unpacking the blinds, which were well packaged. I would not hesitate to order blinds from this company because they appear to be very nice and elegant, which is good because ordering blinds online means not being able to see them in person beforehand.
It's a high-quality item, and I like these blinds a lot. However, one star is deducted for the difficult installation. br>Only just fits with side brackets, which add width. To avoid the heads of the screws getting in the way, brackets had to be removed and more holes drilled. The clips that hold the valence in place are flimsy. You clip the valence to the headrail after inserting them into the valence. However, if you attempt the second step, the clips will fall out of the valence. I finally glued the clips in after many frustrating attempts.
Every day, these blinds are incredibly simple to operate. It's been about 6 months since they were installed. I was initially concerned about how they would work, but they do exactly what they say - they work. You lift the blinds from the bottom up, stopping where you want the bottom of the blinds to sit. When it's time to lower them, grab the bar and pull down to the desired level of coverage. Slats are easily opened and closed. I'll admit that they were a pain to install due to the size of our window and our lack of experience with these types of blinds, but once they were up and running, we couldn't have been happier. I would strongly suggest it. However, if you aren't very handy, you should seek assistance with the installation.
