For an inside mount, we recommend ordering a width 1/4" to 1/2" narrower than the width of your window frame. A 37" x 60" inside mount blind should work well for a 37 1/2" x 59 1/2" window.

Hello, br>br>How much you want the blind to overlap past your window will determine how much it costs. You can go 1/2" to 1" wider than your window measurements if you want a small overlap. If you want to cover your window trim, take measurements of the entire window, including the trim. When installing an outside mount blind, you must first determine how much space the blind will cover. The same can be said for height, but keep in mind where you'll be mounting the blind. From the highest point where you want the blind to sit to the lowest point where you want it to extend, measure.

The fact that it was made in China disappointed me. Companies and Amazon both need to be more transparent about where their products are manufactured! In general, I find that "Made in China" merchandise appears to be fine on the surface but is ultimately useless. br>br>The blind unit itself appears to be in good working order, but br>br>Inadequate instructionsbr>The valence slats are too thin to lay flat. Made of aluminum, but only about the thickness of a sheet of paper! Plastic is used for the wand hook! I'm not sure how long it'll last. br>I had to make spaces for the mounting clips so that I could install the valence clips! br>br>I'm glad I only ordered one as a test, as I'll be looking for a blind that is made in the United States and is more durable for the rest of my house.
I love that these blinds are cordless; I'd never had one before and assumed that a cord was required to raise them, but it's actually quite simple to do so without it! My cats were always trying to play with the cord, and they didn't last long.
I'm always wary of reviews that claim simple installation, but these were a breeze to install. I followed the advice of a previous reviewer and placed the clips against the window frame where I wanted them - 1/8 inch back from the front edge of the window frame, avoiding the blind mechanisms on the side - The blinds were attached after the holes were marked, screwed in, and the blinds were attached. They have a nice appearance and are well-fitting. Durability cannot be determined at this time, but I am confident that they will serve you well for many years to come.
They're simple to set up and offer the best value on Amazon for what I require. The blinds are made of thin aluminum, and the top and bottom bars are made of pvc plastic, which isn't the best material to use. The strings that hold everything together appear to be extremely thin. The previous blinds had snapped at the strings, most likely as a result of UV degradation over time. Given how frail these strings are, I expect them to snap sooner rather than later. On a different note, the seller is extremely responsive; UPS delivered it to a location other than my home, and the seller promptly addressed my concern. I'd buy from them again in a heartbeat.
The best part is that these are aluminum; I've had a number of plastic ones over the years, and the sun eventually breaks them down, causing the top part to sag. It was difficult to find a replacement for my odd-sized window, but these were made to order and were perfect; I'll definitely order these again if I need them.
These are nice blinds, but there was one minor flaw that didn't bother me but might bother others, as well as one larger flaw. To begin with, the good:
- - - - - - - - - - - br>Easy to set upbr>- When you raise and lower them, there's no cord to get tangled in. br>Here's the minor flaw: The blinds are supposed to come with two valences, one on top of the other, that clip to the top and conceal the bar with the raising/lowering mechanism. The instructions clearly show two valences, as well as two slots in the clips that hold them in place. Only one valence, however, was included in the package. It didn't bother me because I think the top bar without the valences looks just fine. To be fair, the directions do include a 1-minute time limit. I didn't dial the 800 number because I didn't care if there were any missing parts. The bigger issue is that the blinds' slats are opaque, but they don't close completely, allowing some light to pass through. I wish they did more to darken the room, even though they do a good job. It's a little harsh to give it three stars - Three and a half stars is a good estimate.
Today I completed the installation of my new custom mini blind. It was simple and straightforward. Unfortunately, I was unable to reuse the brackets from my previous blinds, owing to the fact that they were manufactured by a different company; however, I was able to reuse the screw holes. This blind is a bright, clean white; I thought my old blinds were white, but they were actually an off white; the new white blind really pops and brightens up the room. The headrail is a nice, generous size, not skimpy in appearance, and it gives the blind a polished, finished appearance. I just placed another order for two more windows!.
The blinds work well and look nice, but I had to go to You-nique to get the mounting clips because I was unfamiliar with them. It took me a while to figure it out using the tube. It's not a major flaw, but it's the only reason I gave it four instead of five stars. However, I would suggest this item because I believe it was well worth the money.
