I wish there was a way to include a picture! My rods are positioned above the 14" glass/panels on either side of the metal entry door (EITHER SIDE). THEY ARE EXTREMELY IMPRESSIVE. BUY THEM. They're sturdy and don't budge when the door is opened, closed, or slammed shut by the grandchildren. The distance between the door surface and the rod is about 1 1/4". I hung curtains and am pleased with the result; it would be simple to hang a kitchen towel on it as well. I hope that this information is useful.
No, there isn't a way to change the depth.
No, I don't think so; they're a little heavy. I adhered them with a 3m extra strong/thick double stick tape and they are holding up fine; it must be an adhesive that can hold a decent amount of weight; command strips, based on my experience with both products, are not capable of doing so.
I just did a quick check on my own. The black covering was left in place. That, I believe, is to prevent the metal/magnet from scratching the surface of the door or wherever else it is used.

I only recently learned of this brilliant invention. MAGNETS! The magnets are powerful and firmly adhere to the surface. I found exactly what I needed. I purchased it along with some door curtains that I also found on Amazon, and I am extremely pleased with it. A purchase rarely appears to go according to plan.
Rods have a poor quality control system. I'm grateful that I was able to find magnetic curtain rods for my metal french doors. Because I don't want to drill holes in the metal, I haven't been able to hang curtains! That issue will be resolved as a result of this. They are simple to install on the door, and the magnet adheres well to it. The rods do not fit into the bracket holes, which is a major disappointment. The larger rod's diameter is too large for the bracket to accommodate. The smaller rod's end perfectly fits into the larger rod's end. I bought two of them. The first set is appropriate, but the second is not. I didn't have time to return and reorder because I needed these for a meeting at my house. I enlisted the help of a neighbor with strong hands to squeeze the large rod into the bracket with my pliers. It was only a matter of putting in some effort. HA HA! I'd most likely order these again because they work well and are attractive.
On pictures, these appeared to be flimsy, and I assumed I had overpaid. br>br>Purchased anyway after catching a delivery man peering into my house through my side door, which was unsettling enough to send me straight to Amazon to look for a solution to cover the glass portion of the door. br>br>I chose this product because A. I bought a faux linen curtain with two rod pockets. It was delivered in two pieces, with B. It promised to deliver quickly. When it came to quality, I wasn't holding my breath. Surprisingly, the rods are excellent. br>br> The magnets are so powerful that if you move them around after they've attached themselves, they'll scratch your door. They stay in place beautifully once installed. br>br>The size is ideal, the color matches the door, the installation is simple, and it's a "set it and forget it" situation. br>br>The peeping Tom is frustrated and sad because my entire door window is now covered. The mission has been completed! br>br>Giving them four stars because I'd like them to be a little prettier and a little less expensive to get five stars.
I didn't want to drill holes in my door and needed an alternative, and this fit the bill perfectly- The magnet is incredibly powerful. While I have a light-weight sheer panel, I am confident that it would hold up to a heavier material. My door hardware matched the nickel rod as well. I couldn't ask for anything more.
As I searched online, I came across curtain rods as metal, while I had no experience with how to attach such ones so the company said the drill would be needed to attach them and my understanding proved so lacking that they wanted me to apologize. I read all the reviews, most of the.
My main concern was that the magnets might not be strong enough to hold the door in place, but they appear to be. I will admit that installation was a little challenging in that if you connect the top rod first and then pull on the bottom rod to make the curtains taught, you risk pulling the entire thing down on your head. Of course, this is only hypothetical. ) I can't say I have any complaints, aside from a minor learning curve with installation. The rods have a silver/pewter finish that is exactly that: a coat of paint They scratch easily, but I don't mind because the scratching is hidden behind the curtains. Although I believe the price is a little high, I appreciate the fact that I will be able to remove the rods in the future without causing any damage to the door frame.
I had no idea these were available! These are incredible, and I absolutely adore them! I'm renting an apartment and needed a way to hang a blackout curtain on the patio door. These are extremely durable and perform admirably. I would strongly suggest it.
Plastic "caps" on the ends of the metal rod It's not necessary to have any tools or follow any instructions. They appear to be fantastic from above. The material is semi-durable. My 10 pound cat is the king of the house. She was attempting to stand on the bottom rod when it collapsed on top of her. It was the last time she did it. yet. I'm pleased with my purchase, especially given the low cost (under $20 for two) and the fact that they can be worn or removed. I'll be able to take them down during the day and replace them at night.
