Swivel End Sash Rods have one end that swivels for easy access to the window when washing or opening it. This design makes it simple to pull or swivel the rod away from the bracket to gain access to the window.
Rhoda, I used to have these on a glass-paneled door in my old house. Despite the fact that the rods were white, the hardware was chrome. I really didn't like how much the hardware showed up. I ended up spray painting the brackets white to match the door, which helped a lot. They didn't appear as frequently as they had previously.
Both brackets were installed with their backs to the wall. Once the cross bar is in place, pinch the bracket shut and it will stay put.
I'm not sure what kind of door you have, but you need to drill two holes on each side. Wood? Yes, in that case. You wouldn't be able to drill through metal, in my opinion.

In my opinion, it is of good quality for the price - All you have to do now is make sure you get the right size for your requirements. I chose the 21-inch wide because my windows were 21 inches wide. There are 38in rods to ensure good support, and the instructions are minimal but easy to follow. Also, I used 12lb command strips, which worked great and allowed me to tweak the tension between the rods after installation. ADDITIONAL BONUS: I didn't have to drill holes in my doors because the strips are barely visible! (See photos. ).

I bought three sets of curtains to hang under the kitchen and bathroom counters. The rods are a little heavy, but they'll suffice for the task at hand. The mountings, on the other hand, do not appear to be made of metal, but rather of aluminum. They won't last long, I'm afraid, because the curtains must be opened and closed frequently. I'm not happy with the mountings and will return two of them because I've already used one. I'd return them all if that wasn't the case. I considered using wood glue, but I was concerned that it would disrupt the wood's natural surface, so I decided to smooth it out with sandpaper and repaint it. It was such a letdown! This product is not recommended by me. br>br>Update: The item must be approved by the seller before it can be returned. So, I'll have to cover the cost of return shipping? It was not worth my time or money.
The sash is fine, and the rod attachment is fine, but the rod hole is too small to fit into the rod'pin' (or whatever it's called). I had to hammer it in place after putting the hole over it. This worked for three of the four rod attachments, but the fourth one was squashed by the hammer, so the rod was placed over the'pin' in the hopes that no one would disturb it. The fact that the two mechanical parts (the hole and the pin or pintle) don't fit together is quite incredible! Be aware.
These rods are extremely nice. was delivered promptly; The seller kept me up to date on shipment dates and estimated arrival times. Two were included in the package. Attachment is simple. Because I didn't want to drill the french door, I simply used 3M command strips on the top and bottom of the door and attached the rods to the command strips directly. On the French patio door, the rods were used to hang a curtain. It appears to be in good condition and has so far held up well. I'd recommend it!.
As a result, the mounting hardware that comes with these rods does not fit. Now I'll have to go looking for mounting hardware that will work with it. A huge blunder! Why aren't the people who make this stuff aware of it?.
It was extremely simple to install the sash curtain rod. It matched the curtains I bought for my front door perfectly. It includes a rod for the top of the curtain as well as a rod for the bottom of the curtain, which can be installed on a door. The quality is excellent, the curtain is sturdy, and it is simple to operate to clean the window behind it. Overall, this is a fantastic purchase.
