Questions & Answers

This thinner rod does not fit snugly into the magnetic "in" position. I'm not sure what I'm doing incorrectly. thanks?

It had to be a flaw because mine fit perfectly.

The panels were absolutely required. a 52" width is required, as well as two (2) To match, the width is 24". I'd like to order a curtain. ?

I don't recall the exact measurement, but I ordered these and they will not support a curtain of ANY weight. Please keep this in mind when placing your curtain order.

Is there something wrong with me because the rod is too long for the opening in the magnetic piece?

Hello, there are differences between the two ends. The end marked "IN" corresponds to the inner/thinner rod, while the end marked "OUT" corresponds to the outer/thicker rod.

Why didn't I receive a knob-like feature at the end of the rod, or do I have to buy it separately?

There was no need to buy the knob separately because mine came with the bar. The magnets are supposed to stick to anything metallic behind the knob. I use it to keep my towels organized in my refrigerator, and it works great.

These are specifically designed for use with steel doors
3/5

I included a photo of the finished product, but please keep in mind that it took me three days to get here. This review is divided into two sections. br>To be fair, I'll start with the part about the magnetic function of these rods that involves some user error.
- I didn't realize these were intended for use on metal or steel doors when I bought them. As a result, I was perplexed as to why no magnetic mount was included to enable these to function on my wood doors. I ended up ordering a pack of the steel plates that you stick on the back of your phone to make it compatible with magnetic car mounts (as a separate item). The drapery rods were too heavy for the steel plates, so they kept falling down until I used permanent mounting tape to secure them to the door. The plates are now on the door, and the rods only fall down when you jostle them, not because of gravity. The drapes will not fall if you don't breathe on them or touch them. br>The second section is about the rods themselves, where there was no user error, just an inconsistent product. br>- The metal shafts don't fit into the end caps very well. The larger of the metal shafts is too wide for the end cap hole it's supposed to go into, so you have to rock it back and forth to get it in just enough to stay - It's only a couple of centimeters inside the end cap opening. The smaller of the two shafts is too short for the end cap opening for which it was designed. One was so bad that I had to use glue to fill in the gaps to keep it from falling apart. Having rods that did not fit securely in the end caps added insult to injury, given that I was already struggling to overcome my previous user error. br>It is suggested that you:
1. Use on metal/steel doors and frames, as well as window frames.
2. Only use if you're going to hang sheers or other light drapery.
3. If your rods keep popping out of the end caps, have a glue stick or some other multipurpose glue on hand, as well as lubricant or oil (for the larger metal rod). br>br>The only reason I didn't return these is that we're going to order new French doors soon, and I'll have custom blinds made for them. For the time being, this will suffice to keep the cold out and provide some privacy.

Ideal for windows with sidelights
5/5

My husband had to cut these down to about an inch in length. Our door has a small window and a small frame around it. The four-pack was ideal for our requirements. Our front door is now both private and versatile.

AMAZING! These rods are incredible, to say the least
5/5

These rods came in two sets, which I used to hang sheers on the sidelights on either side of my front door. I take them out of the box, hang the curtain on the rod, secure the rod with the end magnet, and voila! For each sidelight, it took about two minutes. The magnets are extremely powerful. I was so pleased with this product that I ordered another set for my porch door. I would strongly advise anyone who has windows in a metal door to use these rods. Amazing, I'll say it once more.

It's incredibly simple to set up and adjust, and it'll keep you in place for a long time
5/5

We have a metal french door and have had many issues with curtain rods in the past, either scratching the door or requiring me to screw them into the top and open them to open the door. Finally, I decided to give the magnetic type another shot, and it did not disappoint. They remain firm even when my cat bats at them to move them around. Yes, they fell even when she was climbing them, but it was incredibly easy to get them back up and she did not bend anything. I'm glad I got them, and I don't have any complaints!.

Installation has proven to be difficult
3/5

Magnets appear to have a great deal of power. Positives include: Strong magnets make it relatively simple to hang up. br>Negatives: The rods don't quite fit into the magnets that hang from the ceiling; The magnets may be damaged if you follow the instructions! br>br>The magnets should be "peeled off the backing," according to the instructions. WHAT DO YOU MEAN BACKUP? There were none to be found! I would have damaged the "hooks" if I tried to peel anything off. Second, the larger rod ends would not fit into the end caps/"hooks. " I managed to set up three rods, but the fourth would not fit anywhere! After attempting to cram it together (and failing miserably! ), I decided to use superglue on the ends to keep it together. "Screw it," I said. found a way to have the rod rest in a different section (it was either that or remove the bottom curtain rod from the other window, which is still a possibility). They appear to be functioning properly-br>br> for now.

Keep your eyes on the prize
4/5

As a result, you must pay close attention to which rod end goes into which plastic hanger, as it is critical. I had no problems because I could see why they were different after noticing them. I inserted the smaller hollow rod end into the toothed hanger end, then pushed the plastic rimmed end through the curtain and into the non-toothed end hanger, which I thought was the most efficient method. This purchase has met my expectations. I'm hoping my big lug dogs don't end up ripping the curtains off when they brush against the door because the magnets aren't as strong as I had hoped. Overall, a good value for not having to drill any holes, and installing privacy on our French doors took me only two minutes.

It is simple to set up

when we finally figured it out! I've been looking for something like this for a long time. They didn't come with instructions and had a "moment," which made it far more difficult than it needed to be. My craziness had even dragged my husband into it. It does exactly what it says it will, and the magnets are powerful. They serve as window coverings on our metal front doors. The only drawback is that the connection came loose on the corner near the door knob of the door we use the most, but considering that this has only happened once in the two months we've had them installed, I'm calling it a win!.

Works ok
3/5

I was given a used set to begin with. The rods, as well as the magnets (which were all stuck to the rods in a clump), fell out when I opened the Amazon box. None of them had the peel-away cover that is supposed to be removed before attaching the door to the frame. Second, they function properly. Stick well to the door, but it can be difficult to get the rods into the holders securely enough so that they don't fall out every time you adjust their position. br>It's likely that they were sent to me used because they were returned by someone else.
