I bought the rod to hang posters, charts, and other materials on my white board, and it works great. To achieve a stronger attachment, I had to use magnetics on both sides. It's pretty good, but you can't add more than one chart at a time.

The adhesive isn't strong enough to last

I used this item to hang curtains on my back door, and the adhesive held for about three days, after which I returned home to find my curtains and rod on the floor. My curtains were only about 2 pounds in weight.
