It's lovely, appears to cost more than it does, and is simple to put together. love it! br>In response to a customer's inquiry about the distance between the bracket and the wall, here is a photo of the measurement. I couldn't figure out how to attach the photo to the email about answering the question, so I'm posting it here instead.
This curtain rod is one of my favorites. The thickness is just right, and the finials are lovely. I had originally ordered another and promptly returned it. It was incredibly flimsy and thin. This is a fantastic piece. It came with three brackets and was very easy to install; We did, however, use different screws and mollies in the end. The ones it included weren't of particularly high quality. Because the rod is so good, I wouldn't deduct any stars for this reason. It is something I would strongly suggest.
The finish and appearance are excellent. This is a very nice rod that arrived in good condition. I looked at a lot of websites and stores before deciding on these rods, and I'm very happy with them. Because the brackets are only three inches deep, I had an expandable black bracket on hand, which worked flawlessly.
It has a lot of sturdiness to it. The equipment is of excellent quality. It's a lovely bronze color. It's almost a pity to hide it behind drapes! I'm not particularly handy, but with my drill, a marker, a phillips screw driver, and a tape measure, I was able to complete the task in about 30 minutes.
I have a floor-to-ceiling window in my living room. I decided to hang some heavy black-and-white striped curtains from the ceiling window in my bedroom, which is over 10 feet wide. out curtains, which necessitated the use of a curtain rod that was extra strong. I ordered the 120" to 240" rod and am very pleased with it. It is extremely durable. The end result is stunning. It appears to have been much more expensive than it was. It was incredibly simple to set up. This is a product that I would strongly recommend.
We've bought a few curtain rods from Amazon, and while looks are subjective, this is my wife's favorite so far. The finials are large enough to be seen in a medium-sized room and feature a nice, simple design. br>br>However, I wish the mounting brackets were a little more attractive - There's nothing wrong with the ones that came with it (they're basic, flat, adjustable brackets), but a couple of other rods in similar price ranges came with more finished-looking mounts with some shape and dimension to them. If you're going to loop the curtains over them (I ended up looping the first curtain grommets over these), it's not a big deal, but if you're going to expose the mounts, they'll look very plain. Overall, it's very nice!.
They have a nice look to them, but they're not too pricey. br>Unless it's absolutely necessary, I recommend not going to the maximum size available. I ordered a 28-inch-to-48-inch curtain for our 40-inch window width, but you want the curtain to overhang the window a little, and at 48 inches, the middle becomes a little flimsy, so we went up a size. Fortunately, we had two extra extenders for the double window we bought, which increased the height to 144 inches. We were able to reinforce the rod with those pieces. br>br>In general, if your window is 40 inches or larger, go with the 48-inch and up size to avoid sagging in the middle. The rods are hollow, which is nice because it makes them light, but be careful when fully extended. I wish the rubber ring on the extension parts was a little tighter, but once the set screws are in, there are no issues. Also, the 48 inch and up sizes came with three or more brackets, so you can add one in the middle for support. We have had these up in my son's room for one year. I've had these rods for 5 years and have never had any problems; aside from that, I still recommend them!.
