It's not on purpose, but it works! We have a small kitchen with a large corner cabinet that is full of pots and pans. This was a more cost-effective option than a hanging pot rack, and it worked perfectly in the space.
The most flimsy rod imaginable. Plastic that is inexpensive. I can't even hold a single cotton panel without it sagging in the middle, and the middle support bracket was not included in the package. I can't imagine trying to cover the windows with thicker/blackout curtains.
The aesthetic is there, but these curtain rods are more like $15 than $40, which is what you pay for (at least that's what I paid for). For the same price, you could get something much better from Target. br>The paint chips easily, the bag of screws had a piece of dried sauce or something nasty in it, and it's just not the best quality overall.
It was so simple to install them myself using a drill. Although the screws that came with them are not the strongest, they do the job and keep everything in place. If you have one, you can always use a slightly stronger screw. I had to buy two panels of different sizes and figure out how to make them work together. I really like how they're able to lay flat against the wall. On his window, I have four panels that are quite sturdy. Compared to other curtain rods on the market, this one is significantly less expensive. Don't be hesitant to try them; you will not be disappointed! br>When I finish with my other windows, I'll make these match!.
This curtain rod is one of my favorites. It matches my living room's theme (spooky/black/steampunk/industrial gothic) perfectly, and it's also extremely strong and durable! It replaced a flimsy Walmart purchase that had bowed in the middle due to my children pulling on the curtains to open and close them. I'm confident that THIS one will withstand their "assistance. " This curtain rod has a great look and is very functional.
Because I work the night shift, it's critical that I keep light out of my bedroom. The curtains wrap around the rod on both sides, effectively blocking out a lot of light. To maximize the amount of light that comes in, I placed it about 6 inches above my window. I ordered one that was too big for my window and didn't need to use the extender because of it. I believe this is very sturdy without the extender, but I'm not sure how sturdy it would be if it were extended. I didn't need to use the middle bracket without the extender, which is a good thing because light can't get through the middle.
I guess I didn't give it enough thought. br>Thought this would make a good quilt hanger, but didn't realize that the design prevents you from simply stringing the rod through and hanging it from the pre-drilled holes. hooks that have been hung You must screw the entire thing in place at the same time, and removing it will necessitate removing one of the wall-mounted end braces. It's a real pain. It's very likely that I'll have to replace it very soon.
This is a curtain rod that should not be purchased. My husband spent an hour attempting to install this curtain rod after waiting a long time for it to arrive. Before attaching brackets to the wall, we tested the screw mechanism. It took a long time to get the screw to turn (you had to screw the rod into the bracket). But it worked in the end, so he spent a lot of time marking, drilling, and attaching brackets with care. The rod was then attempted to be screwed in; however, we were unsuccessful. The screw had become stripped and was unable to be used. I'm sick of buying Chinese goods that are subpar, cheap, and shoddy. We purchased four different curtain rods, but only one of them was suitable for use. I'm thinking thumb tacks will suffice. br>In TX, I'm fed up.
