These brackets were just what I was looking for. In preparation for replacing brackets that came with rods I purchased at Walmart, I thought I'd buy these to bring them closer to my windows since the brackets stuck out of my window by 5 inches (wall to middle of outer curtain rod), these brackets brought them in. Since these are straight brackets, you may see the top of the sheer curtain over the rod for the sheer curtain, which you may not like. The sheer curtain rod is situated fairly close to the window, which you may not like. It would be possible to bend the bracket up so that the curtain hides the sheer top if you do not like that look.

An indentation in the rod prevents the mounting hole from being placed where it should be. The other manufacturer had keyhole slots, but these simply have holes with little flexibility. To minimize movement, I smeared the bottom slot with a liquid to keep the screw as far as I could drive it.

A double curtain rod bracket should be able to accommodate both a 5/8" and a 1" curtain rod, according to the specs It is not possible to fit either of the curved brackets on these When I finally installed these brackets, I found that one inch rod fit in the bracket, but oversize 5/8" rod did not. I assumed the bracket size was correct, so I went to the trouble to install them. Although there were very few scratches in the finished product, it is still of decent quality. I will be returning this item due to the fact that I could not fit my curtain rods in it. When you purchase these brackets, you should first insert the rods to ensure that the brackets.

As my windows were drooping in the middle, I felt they needed an additional bracket. I had purchased new rods, but felt that those didn't accomplish the job. There was no problem with these and they were perfect. I only have one complaint it's difficult to screw them in due to their design, as the scoop of the bracket is in front of the screwhole, making it very difficult to get a screwdriver where it needs to be. In the end, I had to purchase a special bracket adapter tool to install them. They did the job I needed done for the most part, though.

bracket that was supposed to accompany the package was missing and damage had occurred. There were some screws missing from the package which contained the bracket. The package had not been opened. We were expecting two assistance today and now my project has to be delayed because the brackets will have to be hung on a later date.

Installation is quick and easy! In a new house, I plan to hang them as curtains. The fact that they are sturdy is appealing to me. They are not made of flimsy materials. Through the day and night I use gromet curtains to easily open and close them. used tension rods with tab style sheers to conceal the grommets on this double curtain rod holder since the solid/pattern grommet curtains would be too bulky to conceal with gromet sheers.
