These brackets are well done, but I'd like to give them 5 stars. In order to replace the three that came with my curtain rod and which broke apart due to being cheap and made of plastic, I bought these brackets. Although the new brackets are very sturdy and easy to install, the curtain rod would move when sliding the curtains, so securing it was not possible. It is too high up on each bracket, and when it is all the way screwed in, the screw will never make contact with the rod to stabilize it and to stop it from moving.

According to the description, they are exactly what they appear to be. Due to my mistaken belief that all curtain brackets were the same length, I failed to measure or even make any adjustments, so the brackets still turned out to be way too long for our needs, even after adjusting them. In addition to providing a center support for a long curtain rod, we purchased the set for decorative purposes. Our only use of the bracket ended up being the part with the letter l. It was an easy process to install as well as nicely made brackets.
I appreciate that these curtain brackets are easy to maintain. The rod holder portion of curtain rod brackets is often right in front of the screws that will go into the wall, which makes tightening them annoying. What I needed was perfect for these. It was a breeze to install (basic curtain brackets) and the slim profile was exactly what I was going These brackets were used to replace some IKEA brackets that were just too large for the space, as I had switched over to curtain rings and did not want the brackets hogging the limelight. There is not that much extension behind these brackets, but they are still able to hold a heavy curtain in place. There is plenty of room between my current rods and the full width of my living room. I think a larger rod would help to give it a bit more character.
