simply rearranged the old ones so they were in the same place as the new An electric drill was used.
It turned out that I needed the middle bracket also, so I purchased the set of 3.

My $30 ones from Bed Bath and Beyond didn't work as well as these. I wish I had bought these sooner. As soon as I installed them, I really wished I had bought them sooner. The fact that they are adjustable is very appealing. My corner curtain was able to be used with it.
My window has three-inch blinds and curtain needs to be hung in front of them. It is likely that the hardware will not clear most brackets that come with the rod. There are a lot of things they do. I may need to adjust when I hang insulated curtains in the winter, but I still have at least 2". The whole thing took less than 10 minutes to do. I had to adjust them anyway so I wasn't using a level. Keyhole hanger and rod support were easy to remove with a screwdriver, and the latch was easy to work with. Bit with a diameter of 3/16".
The wooden blinds in the window are 2" wide, so I needed longer brackets to attach a shiny gold rod out past the valance. I am very pleased with these. They arrived quickly and work well. There are mollies included with them, but they are the cheapest ones that always come with such items I toss them and use the good ones instead. I liked the length of the screws and the fact that they were shiny gold so they matched.
The curtains are hung and I have them decorated.
As I was looking for something that I could drill directly into the wall rather than wedge it into the molding around the windows, I was very happy to find this. Often I found I needed 3 of these for some of my windows, so it is a pity that they only come in packs of two.
To clear the woven shades, brackets needed to extend a bit farther. They were too short for the most part. I found these to be quite sturdy and they did the job.
The fact that they are two pieces does not appeal to me. I wish they were one piece but they were OK. Trying again later, perhaps I will be able to upload a picture.
It is a nice looking curtain, but it is not made to cover Now I am using three, but I will need to add two more to support extra tasks.
