It's funny that this product claims to protect flooring, but in reality it ruins it. These rug pads were put under all the rugs in our house just over a year ago, and now after something was spilled on one, the black I see from the bottom of this rug pad has stained the Unfortunately, we are now too late to return them, so we have no choice but to toss these pads away and buy new ones and then sand and work on them again Staining our hardwood floors will make them look old. The product is not something that I would recommend.

As I wanted to increase the level of plushness to make the rug more comfortable for seated or playing on it, but not make it too high so it could be a tripping hazard, 1/3" seemed like the ideal height. I am not sure if I received the right pad, but I was rather disappointed that this pad was very thin in terms of felt, measuring closer to 1/8" Even with the rubber backing, there were no areas of this pad that were even 1/4" thick, so I would estimate the thickness to be about half what it claims to be - about 1/6" thick! Here is a photo for your reference. I guess this is it for "Ultra"! This is so While it keeps the rug in place, it does not really add a great deal of plushness, so the comfort level of the rug isn't much different than if it did not have a It was fortunate that the rug itself was dense and of high quality however, it would probably be difficult to make any thin If it hadn't been such a hassle, I would have returned. The rug that we purchased was EXACTLY 8x10, but the pad protruded a bit and we had to trim it down about 2" on two sides, which didn't require much effort with very sharp shears, but the pad did not line up perfectly. In general, the results were less than what I expected. However, we will work with the outcome. Most likely I should have ordered 1/2" to get what I needed, but should not have had to rely on the manufacturer representing their product inaccurately or shipping a lower-quality item.

I ordered a rug pad that measures 6 x 9. My rug pad was delayed by a week, but I finally received it after all. The difference was that the squares were My heart sank as I immediately contacted Amazon customer support. Because this item is sold by a third party seller, Amazon couldn't do anything at that point except to send an email to RUGPADUSA and let them know what the issue was. There were only two business days for RUGPADUSA to respond and correct the situation before Amazon assumed control. As I heaved yet another heavy sigh, I looked away as if I were breathing a deep breath. The customer service experience is going to be another headache, I said. I was so mistaken! In less than an hour after I contacted Amazon, RUGPADUSA contacted me. There was no complexity in the process Instead of providing me with the item I had ordered, they asked me what I'd received. They corrected the problem within 5 hours. As soon as I ordered the rug pad, they sent the correct size at no extra charge, and I didn't need to send back the wrong size. When the shipping notification came, I was most pleased with the speed of the correction, but was even more pleased with the speed of the correction. The original order was shipped faster than the new one. Initially, I reached out to Amazon and it took me a day and a half to get it. RUGPADUSA initially sent me the wrong item, but after the situation was handled and corrected, I was extremely happy with the results. Here we are. A lot of people seem to have complaints about these rug pads, many of which are completely absurd, but that's to be expected when you deal with The only issue I have with these non-preferred providers is one that I have personally found Rug pads designed to prevent slipping In other words, they don't stop the rug from slipping ON top of the pad. Based on the sample pictures of $5 knit rugs layered on top of these pads, I should have been aware. They should be able to use it. In my opinion, anyone who spent a decent amount of money on a quality area or runner but did not get a knit back should return it If this pad isn't for you, don't use it. The additional padding does little to prevent the rug from sliding around, so I am now on the lookout for double-sided carpeting to prevent the rug from slipping around. Tape should be applied to both sides of the rug as a preventative measure I'm sliding away from the computer.

I was satisfied with the loft and firmness of this product. In addition to keeping my wool rug in place, the pad keeps my hardwood floors in As a result, it doesn't work well with an olefin rug because the pad is felted in a way that is too smooth and allows the rug to move around. Despite the fact that I do not wear shoes in my home, my rug slips off the top of the rug pad even when I walk barefoot on it.
