I am not sure if it is adhesive, but it easily sticks to the window and it is very easy to remove and adjust.
In my case, it was used to cover an inside window pane, but appears to be strong enough to hold up outside. I think the only thing that might hinder its performance may be if you live in an extremely hot or dry place like in the desert or sunny California where the sun beats down on it all day. If you live in that type of location, I doubt You should give it a try. It would be worth a shot for me. It seems like a good idea to me!
Please accept my apology for not knowing. It was not used for covering a window. In order to prevent people from waking into my sliding door, I cut strips at eye level and placed one on each side. We shared the roll with our As the sliders are not directly exposed to the sunlight, there appears to be no prism effect.
There is a light adhesive to it, I got it for a window in a shower and so far it has stayed on. Light is let in, but privacy is maintained

You will get Until you hire a pro to install it, this isn't going to give you a sleek, modern appearance. Ideally, you should use this when you value privacy while letting in as much natural light as possible. I think it's great stuff in that regard. Finished all the windows in my downstairs.
It is not uncommon for people to walk through the sliding glass doors when they are closed because they have a wall of them! It would be nice to hang something around them to let us know when the doors are closed, but I didn't want to block the This window film was a perfect choice. I cut 10" strips along a single row and stuck them on each slider below eye level, and another row lower for the babies. It will last me a lifetime if I replace the strips once every couple of months even though one roll of film will last me forever. I have received several questions from my friends about how I managed to get sliders that include.
This is great stuff, very easy to use We use it on glass in our work - Ensures that people entering and exiting a meeting room from 5' away are not interfered with by the screen. The look of it has been praised a great deal. I have no wrinkles at all! This pattern is very pretty.
Living in an apartment that has a window that gets lots of traffic is great for me. Originally, I got this product to increase the privacy of my window without reducing the amount of sunlight that reaches it.
I liked it so much that I used it on my garage door. In part for reasons of security, I park my car in a garage. This makes it hard for the bad guys to tell whether I am at home or not. My windows have a film on them that lets light in, but you can't see anything in my garage from the outside. Exactly what I wanted! And at a very reasonable price.
This pattern is not available from my local home improvement store.
While it's not as easy to install as other products of this type I've tried (you can't reposition it and it's quite hard to avoid wrinkles and get them out), it does look really good once the fabric is properly positioned.
It was disappointing. Small grooves create a dirty, random pattern when air is trapped by the grooves. The problem does not get better by burning it or repositioning it.
