Questions & Answers

Is there a way to fix this or did we get a dud? Ours only plays the music for a few seconds. Is there a way to fix this or did we get a dud?

Only a short amount of music will be played in demo mode. If you change the mode, it will play for a longer period of time.

Is the blue sea horse the older version, which takes three batteries, or the newer version, which only takes two?

The two-battery version appears to be the only one available now. Our old one recently stopped working, so I had to replace it. It was a 7-year-old three-battery version. We've never had any issues with it, and I didn't even realize there was a problem until I went looking for a replacement.

Is it possible to change the volume of the sound?

The volume can be adjusted on two levels. Neither is particularly loud, but one is slightly quieter than the other. However, the sound is soothing at any volume level.

Is there a problem with the battery?

Yes.

To turn it off, press the seahorse's tummy for a long time
5/5

Since he was a baby, my son has had the blue version of this seahorse. We decided to get her the matching pink one now that we have a daughter. The seahorse is adorable and gentle, and it sings a variety of tunes while making watery noises. "Twinkle, twinkle, little star" and Pachelbel's canon are among the songs performed. The only thing I didn't like was that some of the tunes had strange pauses (about a half second) between sections, but this only happened a few times and didn't bother me too much. br>br>Note that the seahorse's buttons can be confusing at first; there are two in the back, one for volume and the other for mode. Normal, demo, or off are the options for the mode. The song will end after a few seconds if you're in demo mode. This isn't a technical issue! Simply put, the switch should be set to normal. The songs will play for about 5 minutes in normal mode when you press the seahorse tummy. To stop them before that, simply press the tummy button again for a long time. br>br>Although my daughter is still too young to appreciate this toy (she is only two weeks old), I am confident that she will grow to love it as much as her brother does the blue one!.

A favorite toy of our daughter's
5/5

My daughter adores this toy and refers to it as her "baby," which she carries around with her at all times. We've had a couple of them, so the design has evolved slightly. When you wash it, the inner plastic body shrinks, making it more difficult to fit inside, which can cause the velcro to come apart during play. There are two volume settings, both of which are fine for playtime but can be annoying if your child sleeps with it. It is sometimes triggered by our daughter rolling over in her sleep, and the noise in her room and on the baby monitor can be quite loud. I usually go in after she falls asleep to turn it off, but I have been known to forget and it has woken us up in the middle of the night. I covered the speaker with tape, which dampens the sound but allows her to enjoy it while she sleeps. This is something I do with a lot of their toys. especially the ones that irritate you. br>br>Overall, the quality is good, and no rips or tears have been noticed. It's as simple as tossing it in the washing machine to make it look brand new again, as I mentioned previously. In our experience, the batteries wear out a little too quickly, but she gets a lot of use out of it, so I can't really complain. 4. br>br> 5 / 5.

This is fantastic! I bought this for an infant to use as a comfort toy and to provide background noise when trying to sneak out of the room after putting them to bed
5/5

Since then, Baby has used it every night, and "baby" is now in first grade! Because the music only lasts a few minutes before shutting off, the batteries lasted a long time. If you didn't mean to turn it on, you can also give it a firm squeeze and turn it off yourself. At a young age, the child quickly learned how to turn it on and use it to soothe themselves back to sleep, which was extremely beneficial. We could take it on trips because it's a good carrying size. The fuzzy body part comes off very easily for cleaning, and the inside part with the light, music, and battery pack just slides right out, but not so easily that a child could take it apart. It was very easy to change the batteries or wash the device if it became dirty. We'd have to change the batteries every few months, but the one toy lasted us six years with nightly use! This year, we simply replaced it because the child still enjoys it so much. I've since given these as gifts to other new parents as a means of assisting them with their children. They're a big hit with everyone. It comes highly recommended!.

This is a hit with the grandkids
5/5

Review of Nana This one (a back-up) was purchased by us. Nana's house is on the way up). She had the first one when she was about 4 months old. A few months later, I purchased this one. We are pleased with both of them. This pink one appears to be more appealing to her than the blue one. So there you have it. It has a volume control, a mode option for longer or shorter play, and it quietly shuts off after a set amount of time, saving battery and allowing the baby to sleep peacefully. My grandchild sleeps a lot. She will be awakened by any noise. Once it shuts off, the gradual reduction in volume does not wake her up. You're on your own if you turn it back on. LOLbr>It's simple to clean and maintain. It calms the baby to the point where she understands that when it's turned on, it's time to relax and rest; otherwise, she'll keep fighting her sleep. I don't believe any toy will ever be able to overcome a child's willpower. It does, however, work. br>br>Observation of a baby: You can 'condition' your baby to respond positively to this toy for rest or cuddle time after some time; now that she's older, it's gone from a curious toy she occasionally plays with or listens to for nap and sleep time to a toy she actively seeks out and carries around with her. (i. Will I buy it again?br>br>It's her toy now, not just Nana's and parents' to soothe her with)br>br>Will I buy it again? Yes, if necessary. br>Do I think it's worth buying or giving as a gift? Yes!.
