At 19 inches, I believe the ruler begins to measure. We make them this way because most babies are at least 19 inches long when they are born. When children are old enough to stand, they are typically about 25 inches tall. Many people will have tall baseboards, so this design takes that into account as well. There are a few rulers on the market that start at 0 or 1 foot, but the shipping costs are prohibitively expensive. It's because UPS will charge an additional $10 for a box that is longer than 60 inches, on top of the regular shipping charges. Our design has been influenced by all of these factors. Thank you for getting in touch.
Made to fit on an end table, this 75" wide rug is made to fit on an end table. the top of a wall Mine hangs in the space between the kitchen and the living room.
Thank you for your inquiry, Robyn. The chart is a light color, and the ink is black - I'd describe it as blond or natural.
At 1'8", the game begins. I simply measured up from the floor to that height and hung the board; it's worked out beautifully! The children are constantly asking to be weighed and measured.

- Nonebr>br>The Bottom Line:br>We needed a simple way to keep track of our children's height, and this worked perfectly. It looks fantastic in his room and was incredibly simple to erect. The Velcro sticky Command strips are all that's needed. Overall, this is a product that I would recommend!.
Before I purchased this ruler, I inquired as to whether it came in one piece or in multiple pieces; It was described as a single piece by everyone. This is divided into thirds, and tongue and groove is used to assemble it. It's well-made, and the fact that it breaks down into thirds means it can be packed away when not in use, rather than having to preserve a 6-inch-tall plank of wood.
My two older daughters and I bought this chart. We wanted each child to have a personal item that she could take with her when she grew up. Now that we're expecting our third child, I took the product from one of my previous orders and ordered another. br>IT ISN'T THE SAMEbr>It isn't the same product, and it isn't the same company. I'm not sure why Amazon has it listed as the same product, but it does explain why older reviews are no longer valid. It used to be one piece, but now there are two. It used to be a thick board, but now it is thin. It's also wider now than it was previously. br>I'll be returning this one and hoping to track down the original manufacturer so they can match it.
It irritates me that the photo says "real wood" when it clearly isn't. Because my family is allergic to plywood and MDF, I was hoping this was a real piece of wood. Nope. Unfortunately, the off-gases are excessive. I really liked the design and color of the "wood," but we are unable to use it in our home. It's back to square one.
This product was adorable, but it wasn't quite what I was looking for. I wanted a single piece that counted from the ground up. This was a two-piece hinged door, and height counting didn't begin until the door was two feet tall. I wanted to be able to add my son's birth height and apt check-up heights, but that would have required me to modify this one, which would have cost me too much money when I could have made it myself.
It irritates me that it says it's made of real wood but it's actually made of extremely thin MDF. With a plastic-like sheet on top, it looks almost like cardboard. Ours was damaged when it arrived; it folds in half and the seam where it folds was damaged. I also had no idea it started at 2 feet; I assumed it was some strange China transaction failure, but it turns out it was part of the design. I'm not pleased, and I'm even more dissatisfied with the price I paid!.
It's very cute. And it's not as heavy as you might think. I'm not sure why it starts at 2 feet, but I think I'll be able to work it out. Still. I was expecting a higher quality of wood and a full 6 feet for the price. Or, at the very least, measure to just above the top of a standard baseboard. It is something I intend to keep. In addition. br>br> According to what I've read, it came with three-meter hangers to keep it in place. The board was the only thing that came with it. There was no place to put it up, and there was no hole to put it in.
The sign itself is adorable, and I was pleased with it. . . except I didn't realize that it doesn't begin until 2 feet up. . . so if you place it on the floor, you'll be measuring 2 feet shorter than the child is. To get an accurate height, you'd have to mount it 2 feet above the ground. This somewhat detracts from the overall aesthetics of the piece. It appears to be "floating in space," which is a bit ridiculous.
