My grandson (age 3) was completely enthralled by this rug on the day it arrived. Every day, he plays with it, going over the letters and-- He was quick to pick up the little words and signs because he had been taught a few things in sign language! This rug is without a doubt one of the best gifts I've ever given him! It does a good job of sucking up air. It had never been washed in a machine. Spills, on the other hand, are simple to clean up. It's fantastic, and I strongly advise you to try it.
I really like the carpet. Because my daughter is deaf, having the ASL alphabet and common signs to help her communicate in ASL is extremely beneficial. My daughter enjoys showing off the signs on the carpet because it is soft.
