It's on the carpet in our living room. It's a tiny rug (but oh, so soft!). ) But if you're going to put it on hard wood floors, I'd suggest putting something underneath it!

Is there any shedding with this rug?

It's far too soon to say. It's been about a month since I got it. I put it in my grandchildren's room, and so far it hasn't shed.

Is it possible to wash this rug in a machine?

The rug is exactly as described by others, very soft and comfortable. When I first opened the package, it had a strong odor. It had a strong chemical odor to it. To be safe, I washed it three times and let it air dry overnight outside. It's all right now. In the playroom, it looks fantastic.

It's unbeatable value for money! It was much larger than I had anticipated! It's not very thick, but it's very soft and vibrant, and for the price, you can't beat it. It's already been spot cleaned from a chocolate milk spill and it looks brand new! Some people complained about a strong odor, but I didn't have that problem. Overall, I'm very happy with the product and would buy it again!.

I wanted a decent rug for my little one's room to help her learn to crawl and have padding because we have hardwood floors, and this was way softer and more beautiful than the Amazon pic and more padded, so I would definitely buy another.

I'm praying to God that this thing settles down. Because it has a huge triangular bulge in like three places as it lays spread out on my daughter's bedroom floor, I'm pretty sure they STRETCHED the material when they packaged it. The money spent was not well spent. It isn't even a "rug" in the traditional sense.
