This was a present from my long-lost but now-found daughter/stepdaughter. It was so sweet when she explained that the two hearts represented my deceased daughter's heart and mine. I couldn't help but cry when I realized what the true meaning was. She had fallen in love with me once more. It warmed my heart and was so heartfelt that we were finally able to complete the circle. It broke my heart to lose her, but it helped to mend my heart to see that she truly loved me enough to show and know what was most important to me: her acceptance and the link to my long-lost 14-year-old daughter. It's been a year and a half, and it feels like only a month ago that my lie was exposed. A good friend reminded me that I can only be healed by God. Every day, I pray for her soul's salvation. That is all that matters to me. On a number of levels, this gift was stunning.
This is something I adore, but also something I despise. The design is lovely, and I particularly like the phrase "two hearts joined as one in Christ," but the welding on the hearts, in my opinion, is terrible. I'm at a loss for words.
