Hi there: The "Lord's Prayer" prayer cards were included with each cross that I ordered from the seller known as "my caring cross." You could always add a note to your order to confirm this. They also have burgundy velvet drawstring pouches for sale. I believe a pack of ten costs $2. THE QUALITY IS OUTSTANDING! Giving these as gifts makes you feel good. It does not appear to be shabby in any way. Returning to the deck of cards I've received cards in two sizes in the past. The card got stuck in the pouch at one point. I had no choice but to use it because I was giving them out the day after they arrived in the mail at a funeral. The crosses are small. The pouch and the "small" prayer card fit together perfectly. These small expressions of spiritual love have always been well received. I am delighted to make this available to those who are in need of divine compassion. Aren't we all aware of someone who is lost, alone, and afraid? IF THE WOOD ON ANY OF YOUR CROSSES SEEMS TO BE DRY, TAKE A CLEAN CLOTH, SPRAY IT WITH OLIVE OIL, AND RUB IT IN ALL OVER THE CROSS. IT MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE IN THE WORLD. THEY DO NOT APPEAR COMPLETE IF THEY APPEAR DRY. THINK ABOUT HOW SOFT YOUR HANDS WILL BE ONCE YOU'RE DONE! Lololol. My Caring Cross collaborates with Holy Land artisans who obtain their olive wood from the branches of local olive groves that have been pruned. Olive farmers cut back the older wood to allow new branches to grow through and produce the olives that will be harvested. Thousands of years have passed since farmers have pruned trees in this manner without harming them. Christians in the Holy Land collect and dry the prunings, which are then carved into beautiful crosses, and your purchase helps to support these Christian communities.
Because each cross is hand carved from olive wood, it has natural wood markings. They are very lovely, and we give them to people in hospitals, rehab centers, and those who are homebound from church.
There are no velvet pouches, but it does come with a card indicating that the olive wood is from the Holy Land, as well as a prayer on the back. All of the grains are different and have been milled nicely.

I had chemo in the fall of last year. I got a cross in my pocket. I keep it with me at all times because it brings me peace. The first time I ordered 50 crosses, I intended to share them with others. I figured I'd had my fill. I drove them to the chemo center where I work. I simply put them in a bowl for people to take if they so desired. They were gone in no time. I've given them to everyone from children to the elderly since that first time. Many people asked if they could take one and give it to someone else. My fourth order has just been placed. Each cross is one-of-a-kind and handcrafted in Bethlehem from olive wood. They include cards with information about the crosses. how they're put together The crosses are a must-do for me. Every one of them is different. They come in a variety of sizes. The patterns differ depending on the piece of wood, making the cross selection "speak to" the people who make it. It's an ideal present to give to someone else.
During the Lenten Season of 2021, I gave each member of our church a "caring cross" to carry around as a reminder of Christ's unfailing gift of love on the cross. This was an excellent reminder and memento for both Lent and Easter.
We've previously ordered the slightly larger sized ones, and we've noticed that the smaller ones have less of the characteristic Olive wood grain than the larger ones. The grain was more pronounced in half of the samples, while it was less pronounced in the other half. br>br>It may or may not be a deal breaker for you, but we were drawn to these holding crosses because of the unusually wavy grain of Olive wood, and hoped that the small versions would have the same grain. Despite this, they have been certified as genuine Israeli olive wood - It also includes a card with the Lord's Prayer on it. Consistent use will give these gems even more character and patina.
I'm ecstatic to learn about My Caring Cross and how it directly benefits the artisans who create them. These crosses are absolutely stunning! In Bethlehem, the majority of the people are Christians. This is such a lovely, important group of families to support, and their work is so well done that it can only be found in Bethlehem and the Holy Lands. It's such a lovely gift to give and receive! These crosses come highly recommended. It's also a purchase that makes you feel good because you know you're contributing to a worthwhile cause.
The cross has a beautiful design. I'm making 2x3" Pocket Prayer Quilts for loved ones suffering from cancer and others in need of comfort. I smooth on a small amount of fabric Paste and Glue and the cross adheres perfectly to fit comfortably in the hand. I love the gift card, which includes an explanation of the Carrying Cross and two prayer cards.
