The rosary itself is lovely, but the "rose scent" is barely discernible, if at all. Furthermore, the one I received originated in China. Binjiangqu Hangzhoushi Zhejiangsheng, China was even listed as the return address. It's highly unlikely, in my opinion, that this item was created in the Holy Land. So, if that's important to you, go ahead and do it. Take a look around.
It has a strong odor, similar to that of lighter fluid. To get rid of the smell, I washed it three times. The color came off a lot, but it still smelled. Returns are not accepted.
They don't have a rose scent, which is fine for occasional use if you have guests who didn't bring any, but they aren't sturdy and certainly don't have a scent. If you're looking for the scent of roses, this product will disappoint you. I have rosaries that have been in my family for over 50 years and have been passed down to me. I knew I was taking a chance when I ordered, so the quality did not disappoint me. I only needed enough for a large gathering and one-time use. I bought seven of them, five of them were red, one was blue, and one was purple. The purple one broke the first time it was touched, but the others were fine.
I bought this for my wife, who isn't Catholic and is a little intimidated by it at first, but she's learning. It's something she really enjoys. It smells like roses, and we keep it in the box it came in to prevent it from fading too quickly. I'm not sure it will ever happen, but it does protect the rosary from harm. It's very ornate, and the attention to detail suggests it should cost much more.
Such a letdown. There isn't a hint of rose in the scent. I'll keep it because of what it represents, but I've ordered another rosary that I previously thought was too expensive because it reminded me of how important the symbol is for the meditation's content. Although the lesson was worthwhile, this is a Rosary. All products, but especially such a valuable one, should be accurately represented.
Don't take it seriously if you want to buy something. It smells like sage with a hint of basil and is very cheaply made. Purchasing it is a waste of time. I bought it with the Catholic hutch where nuns improve them, with heavy duty chain and a real rose scent, many years ago. That was a letdown. I'm disgusted, and it's so disrespectful of the people who created it. You ought to feel embarrassed.
I frequently bring rosary beads with me wherever I go. I left my beads in the rental car when I returned from Texas. I came across these and decided to give them a shot. They are adorned with the Jerusalem cross, which, in my opinion, gives them a more personal meaning. They smell like roses, and they've turned my car into a bouquet of red roses! They give the room a more feminine feel. br>.
