LYNDON BAINES JOHNSON is honored in the ornament this year. He became Vice President in January, 1961, when John F Kennedy was elected President. JFK was assassinated in November 1963, and Lyndon B Johnson was elected 36th president of the United States as a result

A painting of the 1967 Blue Room Christmas Tree can be found on one side of the ornament. The request was made by Mrs. Johnson for Mr. Laessig was the designer for American Greetings who painted the official Christmas tree in the Blue Room for their card in 1927

My collection is growing

I really like this one. It is my goal to collect every ornament from the White House collection. It is as nicely made as in previous years and comes in a beautiful box for storage. Although I personally dislike the shade of aqua blue used for the ribbon, I believe it's a nice touch It may have been a popular color when Johnson was President, but I prefer more traditional Christmas decorations. It is a very nice ornament and I hope I can incorporate it into.

During the month of June, Christmas will be celebrated

Each year since we began purchasing their ornaments in 1981, we have purchased one from the White House Historical Association. We are purchasing the ornament through Amazon for the first time. It was very nice of you to get it to us so quickly. It's also nice that I was able to get the same price as the WHHA, but with free shipping.

The item is great for collecting

Years ago, I began collecting these and gifted them to friends and family members. As pictured, this year's ornament doesn't look as pretty as it is in real life. It might just look like cardboard, but if you are going to add it to your collection, it's still worth it.

Ornaments that are beautifully made

It is so wonderful to see all of the ornaments on display in the White House Since I was a kid, I collected them. Each year, they are decorated in a very intricate manner, representing the president of the While prices do rise each year, they do not increase dramatically. The gifts I get for my siblings each year are from me.
