Mobiles made in Flensted, Denmark, are a traditional handicraft. In 1954, they created the first modern designer mobile. Flensted Mobiles is now based on the Danish island of Funen, where it creates its own design fairy tales from an old village school in Brenderup, the birthplace of Hans Christian Anderson. Questions & Answers

This is labeled as a nursery mobile, but it also states that it is not suitable for children under the age of three. I suppose it's due to the fact that there's a ball involved. Is it possible to get rid of the ball?

It is only for decorative purposes and should be kept out of the reach of children.

What is the material used to make the colored triangles?

They're made of a very stiff, high-quality paper.

It's a flat package, so it's low-profile packaging, as far as I recall.

It's not made of wood, to be sure. Wire, plastic, and paper are just a few of the materials used in this project.

This was purchased as an above-the-crib decoration for a child belonging to a friend of mine. Take note, gentlemen: everyone at the baby shower swooned when they heard about it. br>br>However, it wouldn't look out of place in the foyer of a modernist midtown apartment. br>br>They aren't made of wrought iron and weigh less than 50 pounds. But, let's face it, if you're looking into Danish mobile phones, you're probably spending more on an overpriced cabernet. It's light, but it doesn't appear to be cheap. Let's just call it 'intentional' and 'whimsical. ' It's simple to mount it and find the right balance, and if you get stuck, there are instructions and a YouTube video available. It'll be fine as long as you don't get too aggressive--it's just hanging out on the ceiling, so it won't see much traffic.

It slowly rotates due to the room's ambient air circulation. This model is an original Flenstad design, which can be found in museum gift shops (such as the Guggenheim). It's the ideal sophisticated present - a slightly impractical but entertaining alternative to the standard coffee table book or paperweight.

It has a Calder-like quality to it. The shapes will move in time with the music if you hang it near your stereo. Beautifully meditative and aesthetic, this is an excellent addition to any room where you like to unwind.
