Questions & Answers

What is the overall size? It is 6 inches by 3 inches, according to the manufacturer. Is that the entire length of the blade?

The blade's fat section measures 5 inches by 3 inches, the tapering section adds another inch, and the wooden handle measures about 4 inches.

What is the metal turner's degree of adaptability? I'm looking for a solid metal blade with little to no flexibility in a turner. ?

There does not appear to be any room for manoeuvre. Very strong and durable. This is of excellent quality, in my opinion. I've also purchased them as gifts for family members, who are delighted with them. The spatula comes highly recommended by me.

Is it possible to find out where this item is made? This is an age-old issue. ?

I asked the restaurant supply house where these items are sold, and they said. china. (Surprise!) Having said that, this thing flips burgers like a champ. Solid wood handle, heavy-duty blade with beveled edges and no rust. This isn't your average Chinese item.

Is it going to be able to sit on the grill?

Easily. It was ordered six months ago and has held up well after numerous grilling sessions. Enjoy!

This. This is what I use to smash burgers on a griddle and then scrape them off. Specifically, I'll salt the griddle, place an appropriately sized "ball" of hamburger meat on the surface, place the turner on the meat, and push the blade of the turner down firmly with a beer bottle in my other hand, while holding the turner in one hand. You may need to re-salt the griddle. Position the turner to flatten the patty nicely, but once you get a nice sear on the bottom, flip it and top it with a slice of cheese, then finish cooking as much as you want. Then remove the patty from the griddle and place it on your bun. Contrary to popular belief, a medium rare smash burger can be made. At your own risk (Is your meat free of e. coli? coli? That is the issue that you are facing. ) I am the one who performs the task. That's all I have to say on the subject. br>br>I explained how I use this turner because it demonstrates how well it is built. I can smash, push, and scrape this thing and it will not be damaged. It's thick with beveled edges, and it's exactly what I need for my project. If you come across God while holding this turner, he will be smashed, scraped, and turned. Just make sure you're holding a beer bottle as well. Having said that, I don't do things like soak the handle in water. Because it's made of wood, it'll eventually wear down and ruin the finish. It's just common sense. br>br>Buy this if you want a reliable heavy-duty turner.

Sturdy and firm, this is most likely a "Buy it for Life" item
5/5

I think reviewing a spatula is a bit ridiculous, but I wanted to address the fact that the majority of the complaints are completely unfounded, such as "it's too heavy, or it doesn't stand correctly, or it's imbalanced, etc. " I just want to say, it's a $7 spatula, so don't expect the world from it. It's also not going to cook for you. br>br>Now for the review: it's sturdy, firm, and not flexible; it fits my hands well; it's flame resistant; and it's not heavy (if you use a flexible one, your burgers will be too weak). br>br>Like most wood, it can only be washed by hand. It was no problem to clean up because it was so simple.

This is a spatula to be proud of
5/5

This is something I use on a daily basis. I wanted a spatula that looked as tough as my beard, flannel shirt, and cast iron skillet. I was looking for a spatula similar to the one my grandfather used to make flapjacks for 30 men at the deer cabin. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the spatula. This is the second cookware item that has piqued my interest (the first being the Lodge Cast Iron Skillet). As corny as it may sound, this spatula can be passed down to your grandchildren, and I intend to do so.

My cast iron issues have been solved! All of my pans in my house have recently been replaced with cast iron
5/5

Plastic utensils were no longer appealing to me (melting blah). After reading the reviews, I figured I couldn't go wrong. It has PERFECTLY worked. Making omelettes with it is actually one of my favorite things to do with it. Not only does it work well for flipping them over and getting under and around them, but when I'm done and place it on the kids plate, the sides cut it into perfect squares for the kid! Love it! br>br>In addition, it has a very high quality feel to it in the hand, with a good balance and solidity. It's not at all flimsy, and you'll love it if you get it:.

If you don't take proper care of it, it will rust! If the handle is diswashed, it will loosen! I just received this "hamburger smasher" turner, and I'm very pleased with it
5/5

I always started with the negative reviews because I couldn't believe some of the people's idiocy. "There's a snag in the handle. " This item, as well as any other kitchen item with a wooden handle, cannot be washed in the dishwasher. The wood is ruined. "It corrodes," says the narrator. "As for whether they are magnetic, the answer is that it depends," says one source on stainless steel. Stainless steels come in a variety of families, each with its own set of physical characteristics. The 'ferritic' structure of basic stainless steel makes it magnetic. These are hardened by adding carbon and are commonly used in cutlery. They are formed by adding chromium and can be hardened by adding carbon (making them'martensitic'). 'Austenitic' stainless steels, on the other hand, are the most common. There is more chromium in these, as well as nickel. Nickel alters the steel's physical structure and renders it non-corrosive. "Attractive. " Because this item is magnetic, it contains less chromium than other stainless steels. It'll corrode if you don't take care of it. However, this is not the case in my home because I clean my kitchen utensils regularly. No one has ever washed one of my knives in a dishwasher. Unless you're a dishwasher with a manual, that is.
3. "You can't lift eggs because it's too stiff. " It's supposed to have a stiffness to it. It is marketed as a "smash burger spatula. " People don't read before making a purchase, right? Before using it, I sharpened the front edge and oiled the handle. Whatever grade of stainless WINCO used, I have to say - It's a challenging situation. The sharpening process took a long time. It's possible that the lower chromium content contributes to its stiffness. I'm not sure what I'm saying. What I can tell you is that for $5, you can get a lot of stuff. 71, minus $1 for the shipping option I chose, equals $4. This scraper costs only 71 dollars, which is a great deal.

I had everything I needed to make the best smash burgers I'd ever had
5/5

I had everything I needed to make the best smash burgers I'd ever had. There's no need to eat at Five Guys, In and Out, Smash Burgers, Shake Shack, or any other burger joint ever again. The beveled edge of this tool is ideal for keeping the meat's buttered, seared side. Turn the blade with the beveled side down and slide it under the buttered sear in one motion. Flip the burger normally, and you've got yourself the best burger in town. The product is well-made and durable, and it will last a lifetime. I am a very happy customer. Five out of five stars.
