I'm not sure, but I believe they were made in Italy, but they could also have been made in China.

14" is the length of the cord. What would it look like around the neck of a typical person?

I'm not sure what a normal neck looks like. I am confident that it is appropriate for me. My height is 5'6" and my weight is 140 lbs. For a woman's neck, I'd say it's average.

The tau is good, but the string knots aren't quite right. But it's all right. The knots are important to me as a Franciscan, which is why I gave it four stars instead of five.
