Aim for 00 marks. There should be a high noon(XII) at the top of the arrow! When I tried several times to get it aligned correctly, I finally realized this terrible design flaw. As a result of this lame design, it cannot be aligned correctly. When you want a sundial that can actually tell the time, you need to look for another one!.
The sundial is solid and well-made. It is very plain and does not say SUNDIAL anywhere on The only stone one I could find for a decent price is this one, but it doesn't have to say SUNDIAL just like my clocks don't say CLOCK.
