Questions & Answers
I did make them with olive oil. I have no idea what happened to the wick. However, in general, these are only used once.
In this photo, I don't see a menorah. It's simply candles that fit into a menorah that only uses oil-filled candles. You should expect some oil to spill all over the box when it is shipped. It's not very well packed. br>Measure the diameter of the cup on your menorah as well. br>I ordered small candles (22mm), but when we measured the menorah clip (25mm), they didn't fit. They were far too large. Before ordering your suze, take exact measurements.

When I first opened the box for this product, I discovered that the oil had spilled all over it during shipping, making it a slippery, oily mess to unbox it and get it set up for candle lighting every night. Then, because the included hanukiah was made of plastic, the heat from the flame partially melted it, leaving the room smelling like burning rubber. I have no idea what carcinogens were released into the environment, and my baby had to sleep less than 5 feet away in our hotel room. Terrible. Be careful who you buy from.
It's difficult and messy to fill the glass cups. The mouth of this one is quite large. Because I already have wicks, I'll be using them for Chanukah this year. filled. I do intend to re-read it, though. I've used them before and know how to use them, so I'll be fine if some break down over time. Even if you only plan on using them for one season, this is the one I would choose. The cost is fair, and delivery was lightning fast. This is an excellent item.
It's simple to use, neat and tidy, and it burns for longer than advertised. It's a lot less work than hand-washing glass vials every night, and there aren't any spills or drips. I've had other gel types in the past that leaked during shipping, so this one is much nicer.
It doesn't last that long, even though it says "5 hours. " "Burns for two" is what it says on the package. It doesn't last that long - "5 hours" is an exaggeration. The wick burns out long before the entire (gelled) olive oil burns out, as you can see in the attached photos, so it doesn't last two. - Duration: 5 hours Although it looks nice while it's burning, and in the original Hanukkah, they used Olive Oil (though not gelled:.
I think these are the best Chanukah oil candles I've ever seen. They last a long time, unlike some of the others I've used in the past, and they provide just enough candles for the entire holiday season. Yes, they're a little oily, and you'll get a little oil on your hands now and then, but that's unavoidable. It's well worth the money, and I'll buy more in the future.
I've always used candles, but they leave a wavy mess on the menorah that I have to scrape off. There is no mess to clean up with these because they burn clean. My only wish is that they would burn for a longer period of time. I'll try the larger size next year. br>In general, I was very pleased.
The first set had to be returned because it wasn't properly packed, and the majority of the items were broken. The second, on the other hand, was fantastic, and most of them lasted 4 to 6 hours; I had to use tweezers to pull some of the wicks out further so they would stay lit for longer than a few minutes.
Spectacular product; miraculous! They were only supposed to burn for four hours, but they lasted eight days. I'm not sure who I should tell about this. Better instructions are also needed. br>br> I was having trouble figuring it out, but my daughter came to my rescue with a match. After that, everything went swimmingly. It's important to remember to light the match before lighting the candles. They don't work unless they're plugged in. Those instructions must be included by the manufacturer.
