I wouldn not say 100% drip less but I was extremely pleased with the quality and the vivid silver coloring.
The space is extremely limited. Keeping the holder in place is difficult.
Selected User Reviews For Dripless Hanukkah Candles Metallic Multicolors Deluxe Tapered Decorations, Chanukkah Menorah Candles for All 8 Nights of Chanukah
With all of the festivities this year, I was a little late ordering Hanukkah candles than usual. I use an online supplier because I no longer live in a place with a physical Judaica store, but this time there was no response to the saved link from previous years. I tried a Google search, but came up empty-handed, so I turned to Amazon, which has previously proven to have a huge selection of items available for online ordering and delivery. br>On the other hand, that was only partially successful. I discovered that Amazon did indeed have the candles and that they would arrive a few days before the holiday. They were on my order list. They were late in arriving. The package arrived on the third day of the eight-day holiday, much later than the online confirmation email had stated. br>I immediately unwrapped the package and placed it in my menorah. I noticed a few issues right away. They were not dripless, despite what the website claimed, and their thickness at the base was inconsistent enough that some wouldn't fit in the menorah holders while others were a tight fit. A quality control officer should be hired by the manufacturer. One of the candles fell off the menorah while it was lit, posing a fire hazard. br>It is true that menorahs have been made for at least a thousand years (although no one knows when the holiday began to be observed), and it is possible that the candles and sockets on the menorahs will not be standardized. Buyers, on the other hand, require a more precise fit. I remember much smaller candles from my childhood, but back then you could drip some wax into the sockets to secure them even if they were a little loose. I used tape to artificially fatten up the bases of these candles because they had some kind of coating on the outside that made getting wax to flow from their bases nearly impossible. That's most likely a fire hazard. br>I'll get something else next year.
They have a lower drip rate. However, the same thing that makes them drip less makes them worse in every other way. br>br>They're coated in something (couldn't say what) that acts as a shell for the candle to melt in, containing the wax drips. Whatever it is, however, burns (and produces some, um. exciting. Be careful where you place the menorah because it can cause sparks. Furthermore, the candles do not completely burn out due to this shell. The next night, they leave small nubs that are difficult to remove from the menorah. Also, the candle sizes vary a lot. Some I had to squish into my menorah, and others I had to melt the bottoms of before putting them in because they wouldn't even stand up because the hole was so small. br>br>Overall, they're finicky and not my first choice, but they work and do what they're supposed to do, even if I'd rather just clean the wax off.
The metallic colors of these candles make a menorah look festive. Another advantage is the ease with which spent candle stubs can be removed from each holder, provided the holder was clean to begin with. br>br>They're thin, as others have mentioned, but that's a trait I've noticed in candles I've bought from various sources over the last decade. I bought these candles because they claimed to be dripless. They drip, as you can see. It's even worse with ruby than it is with gold. My three-star rating is due to the drips. a 5-star rating Despite the drips, the burn time (not too slow, not too fast), appearance, and ease of removal make me think I'll buy them again next year.
As a result, two candles in the box were left unlit. That's it for tonight's festivities. They're not entirely drip-free, but then again, what candle is? Apart from appearance, longevity is the only positive. However, a few of the items were stolen. You'd think they'd take measurements at the base to make sure they fit a menorah. There are two of them in total. They don't seem to belong in either. Every night, I had to warm up the bottoms in order to keep them secure. And who makes candles with a bottom that is ROUNDED? That's just stupid. Next year, I'll be looking for more. This year's search was a shambles. Even Zion Judaica does not have candles that will fit! I didn't expect this to be difficult, but it's clear that none of the businesses from which I've purchased have even tested their products.
Even in a small menorah, the metallic colors are muted, and the candles are very thin, making it difficult to secure them. I've been melting the bottoms of each candle before putting it in place, and it's worked so far. They're not completely "dripless," but they're also not excessively drippy. . . and they only last about an hour, which is better than many other options. They were reasonably priced and arrived quickly, so they're adequate but not exceptional. I'm not sure I'd repurchase them.
This is a disaster. unsafe. They're too slick to stick to the candleholder because of the silvery coating. They make a recommendation. come to an end are not suitable for use in a lit environment. I tried putting wax in the holders to keep them in place, but it didn't work. Purchase is not recommended.
Candles are lovely. Metallic silver coloring that is consistent. Candles burn slowly and evenly, with very little dripping. My only criticism is that they are extremely frail. So much so that I had to melt them into my menorah in order to get them to stand up. They do, however, appear to be quite lovely!.
They were reduced to tiny metallic stubs that could be easily removed. They were also simple to stick into the chanukiah. Each of the blue, silver, and multicolored candles came in its own box. Next year, I'm going to buy some more! They aren't as pretty as some of the other candles on the market, but they save me from having to clean my chanukiah!.
