Questions & Answers
They're bright and cheerful, and they'll look great on your menorah.
The label on the box reads, "Made in China." Wishing you a joyous Hanukkah!
These candles are not labeled as kosher anywhere on the packaging. It makes no claim to being made entirely of paraffin wax.
Turquoise is a blue/green color that resembles cyan by definition. The color of these candles is unmistakably blue. It's not a bright blue or a light blue, but more of a medium, dull blue. You might get 8 cards of that color out of the 44 in the box. Green and yellow candles make up the majority of the box's candles. I hope you found this information useful.

They're candles for birthdays. sized candles, which are far too small for my menorahs. It's a total rip-off.
This was not, in my opinion, a problem with the manufacturer. Because the box I received was either very old or had been improperly stored, I'm giving it a low rating. It's possible that it's a mix of the two. I'm afraid to use old stock in this condition because it makes me nervous, and I'm afraid it would cause a fire hazard if I did. As you can see from my photos, none of the candles correspond to the time stated on the candle package. I'm extremely disappointed that I received these candles in such poor condition. This can't be justified in any way.
See the second update. I'm not sure what's up with the negative reviews complaining about the candles being the size of a birthday cake; that's ridiculous! These candles are the same size as every box of candles I've ever purchased since I was a kid. They appear to be Israeli, but if they were made elsewhere, that's fine. br>br>I'll see if they burn quickly, as some of the reviews claim. I'm hoping so, because I don't like worrying about my menorah when the candles burn so slowly that I have to watch them for a half hour or more. RECOMMENDED. br>br> br>br>UPDATE: br>br> On the last night of Chanukah, a single candle burned completely down in half the time it took the others, suggesting that the complaint about fast burn times may be justified. The candle was down and out in under ten minutes. It took about 20 minutes for the rest of them. It wouldn't be a problem if the entire box burned in a short period of time. In terms of aesthetics, if some do and others don't, there's a problem. A notification has been sent to you. UPDATED: br>br>NEXT UPDATED: br>br>NEXT UPDATED: My new box, 2021, isn't as good as the previous ones. The wicks have obviously been changed to a very open wrap cotton string to save a few pennies per box. They burn out before the wax begins to liquefy when you light them. Even the Shammash must be re-lit. It's truly awful! This is the company's last box for me!.
Not at all what was described. I'm sure they're good candles, and I'm sure they'll work in my menorah this year, but the one I got wasn't the one described here. The candles I received are from a different company, and they're in completely different colors, as you can see in the photo. I'm not happy, but it's not worth the trouble of returning.
Ner Mitzvah Chanukah Candles are the subject of this review. br>br>Because I live in Japan and am hundreds of miles away from any Jewish Community Center or Chabad, Amazon is pretty much my only source of candles. I received Chinese-language materials a few years ago. made "Brand X" candles that were not at all like the Made in Israel candles shown on the website. The holiday season snuck up on me a little earlier this year than I had anticipated. Because I only had a partial box of Chinese candles on hand, I ordered these Ner Mitzvah candles at the last minute, and they arrived a few days before the holiday. The fact that I received the exact same brand as what was shown on the website was a pleasant surprise. br>br>However, the box contains no information about where the candles are made, and I was concerned when I discovered a sticker on the bottom of the box. A similar sticker on the Brand X box covered up a "Made in China" legend the last time. This time, all I got was the address of Ner Mitzvah, a Hasidic community in Rockland County, NY, when I peeled off the label. However, this does not always imply that the goods were made in that country. It could, for example, be an importer's address. br>br>As a result, I was relieved when I put them to use. They burn evenly and slowly, with little or no dripping, as shown in the photo. (The old drips you see are from the Chinese disaster the night before - as well as those who are tough- The complete meltdown of the Brand X candles is only a fraction of the removal of remnants. ) The colors are also rich and vibrant, just like the candles I remember from my childhood. If you are given Ner Mitzvah candles, you will most likely be pleased with them.
To begin, let me state that I am not Jewish and that I purchased these for other purposes. These candles are a little smaller than I expected, but they have nice colors that haven't transferred to other candles (which has been a problem with other candles). Each box is approximately the same size as a box of crayons or band-aids. These resemble large birthday candles in my opinion. By a hair more than 5/16th of an inch, they are almost 3 3/4". Because they are smaller than chime candles, I use a heat gun to adhere them to the bottom of my chime candle holder. The following colors are available: Yellow, green, blue, and purple, as well as reddish orange (almost a coral color). br>As a spell, prayer, or meditation candle, I find these to be very effective. They drip very little (at first) and burn cleanly; with the right holder, all of the wax will be burned away. I'm not sure if they'll drip more if there's a breeze. I didn't keep track of how long it burned, but it seemed to be around 30 minutes. Next time, I'll time them and revise my assessment. br>The price is reasonable, and as long as it remains so, I will continue to purchase these.
It isn't shaky in the least. We once slightly warmed the bottoms before putting them in the menorah, but this is normal. However, we discovered one candle was missing on the last night, which was extremely disappointing. (Fortunately, we had an extra box of another brand, but we'll need to buy more next year because that box will be a candle short. ).
They all had simple-to-light wicks. The colors were pleasing to the eye and looked lovely when lit. The best part is that, unlike other candles I've used, they didn't drip all over the place or make a mess. They weren't the most long-lasting candles I'd ever seen; They were quickly consumed by fire. This, on the other hand, did not bother me in the least. I'm a firefighter, and I don't like to leave candles burning for long periods of time, so candles that burn quickly are a plus, not a minus for me. I've already purchased some more for next year's stockpile.
