These candle holders are attractive and arrived undamaged (a rare occurrence these days!). However, I began sneezing every time I picked them up. Because they're painted, I'm guessing it's the paint. The problem was solved after a few days of wrapping them in bubble wrap with baking soda. Thank goodness, too, because I really like them, and I needed brown (I already had a set of black), and they're a great deal. Because I always have baking soda on hand, I'd buy these brown candle holders again if I ever needed more. They also hold the 4" stand-alone taper candle.
I was blown away by these. The size and color are ideal, and I am confident that the recipient will adore them.
These were a gift from my daughter, and I was overjoyed! It fulfilled all of my fantasies of being a Gothic girl. I can carry it around the house looking for ghosts, or I can put it on the desk next to me as I write a passionate letter to Heathcliff.
These are basic candleholders with a simple design that look great. Both of these items are sturdy, have flat bottoms (no rocking), and can hold a narrow taper candle, and I am completely satisfied with them. The price was reasonable for what I was willing to pay and it fulfilled my requirements.
I couldn't get it to work for me. The candle liquefied and leaked through the slit in front as soon as it got to the top edge of the holder. The same candles did not leak when they were placed in a glass holder. Weird. I got rid of it after one use. I'm so disappointed. It's a lovely holder. It's possible that a different brand of candle would have performed better. I used a Sonedly 8-inch Taper Candle as a comparison.
We light a lot of candles, and these are extremely useful. They look great while holding the candles in place and catching drips from melting wax.
They'll do the job, but upon closer inspection, the painted surface appears to be a little shabby.
