To tell you the truth, I'm not sure. We are a school, so we have about 20 or so round trash cans, which I estimate to be around a 35-gallon capacity. We also have a couple of rectangular trash cans that are the same size, and we have to tie a small knot in the bag to reduce its size in order to get a tight fit so that the bag does not collapse when trash is thrown in. These bags are tough and long-lasting, and I recommend buying one box to test them out. For the price, they're a good buy, and Home Depot has the best deal. Approximately $15 per box I hope this has been of assistance.
No, the bags aren't stiff or difficult to handle. These bags are tough, durable, and simple to use. You will not be dissatisfied with your purchase. Although I would have preferred a drawstring version, this one does the job nicely!
The ties are white, flexible twist ties, similar to those found on bread packages. Close the bag by twisting the top shut and tying it. br>This is pretty basic stuff!
BTW: The bags are of excellent quality and are designed to last a long time.
Selected User Reviews For Heavy Duty 45 Gallon Trash Bags by Ultrasac - (HUGE 50 COUNT /w Ties) - 1.8 MIL - 38" x 45" - Large Black Plastic Garbage Bags for Contractor, Industrial, Home, Kitchen, Commercial, Yard, Lawn, Leaf,
At Lowe's, I purchased a standard Brute 44-gallon trash can (which is of excellent quality). I liked the trash can, but I was duped when I bought 42 gallon bags next to it by accident. I was frustrated as I tried and failed to stretch those bags out to fit into the can. After the fifth bag, I decided to take a look around to see if there was anything else that would fit better. This is where the "Heavy Duty" bags I purchased come into play. These bags fit perfectly and have enough overhang to prevent them from slipping back into the can. br>br> At this time, I have no concerns, but if the bag's quality or durability deteriorates, I will update this review.
br>I've been ordering this item for years and have never had a problem. However, in the most recent box I received; All of the bags have started to tear. Even if you tried, the previously ordered bags would not tear. It could be a different type of material or a problem with the manufacturing process.
I see the negative reviews and it's clear that they have no idea what they're buying. This is the first. Bags with an 8 mil thickness are much more durable than kitchen bags and are ideal for yard work and cleaning. They're not meant to be filled with 30 pounds of sheetrock. I'm very happy with this brand, and I've been using it for years. It has never let me down.
I've seen heavier duty, but these are still adequate. Perhaps not strong enough to load with a lot of heavy, sharp contents, but certainly heavy enough for typical garbage. I gave them a five-star rating because that is all I asked of them. They might not be as reliable if I were a carpenter or used them on construction sites.
To begin, these are, indeed, THICK. That is something you will immediately notice. Twist ties are included, which I hope I don't lose before I use all of the bags. Unfortunately, I discovered two faulty seams in the first 12 bags I used. One was completely open on one side, while the other was completely open on two sides and the bottom, creating the appearance of a large cape. br>br>These are large bags that could be used as an emergency rain poncho by a larger person. The surface is extremely slick, which may or may not be desirable. Even when compared to a standard plastic bag, it is SLICK. br>br>Due to the thickness of these bags, they come in a box that could hold 75 or even 100 bags. It carries a lot of weight. And- Despite the fact that I discovered two defective bags, the ones that were good were capable of holding a lot of trash and even something heavy, such as filling them with clothes. So there you have it. There must have been an issue with the machine that did the seams, but if they're good, the bags appear to be very durable so far.
I ordered these bags because I needed large trash bags that could hold a lot of stuff while we cleaned the house and garage. These totes are the perfect size and are extremely durable. Very powerful. When you opened the bag, there was also a strong smell of smoke. The folded bag has no odor, but when you open it to put trash in it, it smells awful. The odor is similar to what you'd get if you opened the bag over a brush fire and collected all of the smoke. I'm not sure if they use a chemical to keep the bag from sticking shut, but it needs to be scented in a different way. If I had intended to use these bags to store items, I would have made a huge mistake because the smell would most likely be transferred to the items. I'm about to vomit because of the odor. I think I'll be able to use these in the garage because the fresh air will be beneficial. For the house trash, however, I'll have to find some new ones.
These bags are more than capable of handling it. There has never been a rip or a leak. It's wonderful to be able to rely on something like that. Reduces the amount of trash that needs to be disposed of. By the way, that's a huge deal!.
These are excellent, long-lasting bags that are well worth the money (approximately 30 cents per bag). I've been using these exact ones, brand and all, for several years with no issues. I use them for my 45 gallon trash can, and I pack in a lot of garbage for a few days at a time, so these bags can take a lot of abuse. These are the only ones I would recommend.
