The quality of what you buy matters. While I have tried a few "no name" mop pads over the years, they haven't worked much for me. As soon as I got my new wood floors, I turned to Bona so I could be sure I was getting the best cleaning available. I especially like the fact that the rubber mop pads are wider than the ones I've used in the past, which reduces cleaning time. Just be aware of the dimensions of the mop pad if you're not using the Bona brand mop (which I also really If you use these pads with small mop heads, they won't work as well. Additionally, I was pleased to see that the pads did not leave streaks or what I call mop pad images on the floor (the pattern the mop leaves when lifted off the floor).

I wanted to get more mopheads for my Bona mop since my mopheads were never cleaned like they were supposed to in the washing machine, so now I own enough mop heads that I don't have to worry about it anymore.
