The Super Standard 11" Double Roller PVA Sponge Mop Set (Mop and 1 Extra Refill)

This mop is the answer to a lot of problems in our great room, where we have acres of tile to mop nearly every day. The mop head itself is a little heavy, but it releases just enough water on the "to" movement to loosen dirt without soaking the grout. The mop squeeges all of the water up on the "fro" movement back! Three of our dogs shed a lot, a lot, a lot. The hair is picked up by this mop, and it rinses off like a dream under the faucet. I mop with two buckets, a large single and a double, to ensure clean water returns to the tile, and I rinse the mop under the faucet before returning it to the buckets when I see a lot of hair has attached to it. The floors have never been cleaner, despite the fact that it sounds complicated. My only concern is that the replacement mop heads might be of inferior quality. Let's see how things turn out.

Although this is a sturdy mop, it does have some significant drawbacks. To begin with, it is heavy when wet and must be soaked or run under the faucet in order to be used. The mop head is extremely hard and ineffective until it has been wetted. It's almost too much trouble to use if you need to do a quick job like mopping up around the dog's water bowl, especially if you're used to using your Quickie sponge mop. You must soak it before you can soak up what you wanted to soak up in the first place. The handle telescopically extends and appears to be in good working order. The mop does not glide smoothly across the floor; on the push stroke, it skips along, while on the pull stroke, it glides smoothly. It works well on pet hair that sticks to the mop head. It's not very good at wringing out. You have to pull the handle several times to get it dry enough to use, and it takes a long time to dry once you're done, so it goes back into the closet wet unless you want to stare at it for a day or two until it dries. This mop is best used for heavy cleaning or large areas, not for cleaning up minor messes on a daily basis. I purchased this to replace a 15-year-old sponge mop that had finally died, and I'm finding that I miss it and will most likely purchase another. I'll need to store two mops now. This isn't the worst thing in the world, but if I had to choose between the two, I'd choose this one.

Prior to learning better, I tried another brand. It had a mop head that slid on with plastic brackets, causing it to fall off every few minutes. br>THIS mop is the first of its kind. Because the mop head is screwed in, you can mop side to side and it will stay in place. It's extremely durable and performs admirably. The mop heads are absolutely fantastic. I also like this company, and the model handle has a great design that I think will last a long time.

I needed a sponge mop to replace one I had recently purchased from a big box retailer. It was impossible to get a good wringing out of that one - After using, I had to clean my entire floor with a towel. This mop has a great wringing action. It doesn't leave a pool on my floor in the least. It doesn't glide as smoothly as most sponge mops on the floor; It has grooves that cause the mop to jump rather than glide across the floor. Also, the extendable pole came loose once, but I'm not sure if it was because I hadn't tightened it all the way. It was very easy to clean the sponge. Overall, this is a good mop.

I'm overwhelmed with cleaning and moping as a pet owner (3 adopted cats, one American Eskimo) in a small NYC apartment. I do not get up during the winter to walk my dog because I am an elderly woman with arthritis. Absorbent pads are used by us. However. The urine from my dog seeps out. My floors are always covered in hair and urine. All of the other sponge mops I've bought in the past (and there have been a lot of them, from various brands) have disintegrated after a few months. But, I have to say, this Super Standard Double Roller mop has beaten them all. I bought this sponge mop about a year and a half ago, and it's great! It's long-lasting and does a great job! I mop my floors several times per day, and after a year and a half, I'm still using the same sponge! My floors are always spotless because I use Lysol concentrate disinfectant, which I purchased on Amazon. Furthermore, my arthritic hands find it very simple to operate. It's so good that I'm going to get one for my elderly mother (in her mid-eighties)! She is the proud owner of three dogs and two cats. Of course, they've all been adopted. br>br>I'd like to express my gratitude to Amazon. So far, out of all the upright sponge mops I've purchased, this is your best!.

It streaks and doesn't wring out the water, for example. I soaked the mop in water exactly as instructed and waited until the timer beeped and then some, just to make sure everything was done correctly. I noticed that if I wrung it out, then waited 30 seconds before wringing it out again, a lot more water would come out. I repeated the process several times and was astounded at how much water continued to flow out. I thought to myself, "Wow, that's strange," and the same thing happened the next day (yes, I waited a day in case I oversoaked it). Because my floor streaked so badly, I don't think I ever got enough water out. The streak action was the reason I stopped using sponge mops, and I don't believe this mop has improved it in the least. Anyway, the pole is fantastic; it doesn't feel flimsy at all, and the adjustable height is ideal because my husband is about a foot taller than me, and he mops just as much as me. The sponge head is unusual and different from regular mops, but the roller ringer does not work, or this new type of mop head holds too much water and does not function.

You can't scrub too hard with one or the handle will break. When it comes to the handle extending and not staying in place, if you do it correctly, it will not collapse. It does a good job of mopping up water, but the handle isn't very durable. My o cedar was much nicer, and it was only a third of the price.

Exceptional mop Although heavy for an elderly lady to use, it is the best I've used. Still, I like it because it cleans just as well as sponge mops with fewer swipes back and forth. There will be no grungy, stinky mop heads in your broom closet because it rinses very clean. The roller squeegee works well at removing excess moisture and is easy to use. Long-lasting and well-made made.
