This works well as a wet palette sponge replacement. However, I noticed mold starting to grow after the first use. With my old sponge, I never had this problem. A surfactant will be required to prevent mold growth. I used some of the brush cleaner I had on hand and rubbed it on the surface with my hands; it appears to be effective.

The smaller pallet, as well as extra paper and sponge, were ordered. The damp sponge and paper keep paints in perfect condition and prevent waste of expensive paints. I'm so glad I got it.

I wish it were just a smidgeon larger. It only just makes it to the edges. It is also easily stained by the paint. But it makes no difference. It just doesn't look as good, and I certainly don't want to be without it!.
