However, the last few replacements I've bought, including this one, must be made cheaper or something, because they start falling apart after only a few uses. Small pieces of the sponge begin to fall off as it begins to disintegrate. I'm going to get a new mop, most likely. br>br>I also dislike the ridges on this mop head, which leave a ridge pattern on the wood floor.
We've been using this brand of mops and mop heads for a long time, and we recently switched to Amazon instead of Walmart to get replacement heads, which only last a week. We use light cleaners instead of clorox, but the heads are breaking down and separating from the mop very quickly. They aren't kept in a bucket with water or cleaners between uses; instead, they are dried and left standing. I'm not sure why the quality has deteriorated so dramatically, but we will no longer purchase from Amazon. After the last three orders were the same, we decided to see how long each head would last and discovered that they needed to be replaced and discarded after only one week of use. We'll have to look for alternatives because the heads aren't cheap.
We finally decided to just get the refills after searching for a new mop and reading all of the reviews for what seemed like hours. It would have been 5 stars if the sponges didn't have that little design on the bottom (it reminds me of a turtle). The "turtle" design is raised, leaving a sponge mark on your floor, which I don't like because I have to go over it with a wet rag when I'm finished. When my husband first saw it, he mistook it for boot tread. More often than not, more isn't always better. They should've made a regular sponge instead. There is no plan in place.
The sponge ripped away from the metal bar that connects it to the handle the first time I pulled the lever on the handle to wring it out. This is the first time I've had to purchase a replacement sponge. The sponge that came with the mop when I bought it lasted much longer than I had anticipated. I'm just going to buy a new mop if all of the replacements are garbage.
The mop sponges were only good for one use. When I squeezed out the excess water and tried to use it again, the sponge fell off.
I only got one when I thought I was going to get three.
I've ordered these from Amazon before, but two of the three in my most recent order didn't hold up as well as previous orders. The sponge separated from its base after a few uses and was half-on, half-off. I had to discard two of them. In this case, I'll be contacting the Libman firm.
This mop replacement head does an excellent job. It cleans my floors much better than the competing products. It has a texture that effectively cleans tough spots and rinses cleanly in water. I only use this type of mop head.
