Questions & Answers

Will my hardwood floors be scratched by this broom?

Hard wood flooring is unlikely to be scratched. To be honest, the broom I received had badly bent bristles; the only reason I didn't return it was because the price was so low that returning it would be more expensive and time consuming. This broom is not one I would recommend. In my garage, I use it. It'd probably be a good broom if the bristles actually lined up like in the picture. As previously stated, the broom I received was damaged, with severely bent bristles and a 2-inch gap between the bristles. Because of the bent bristles, an inch gap was created in the bristle line. This is not a do-it-yourself project for me. over

What does it mean when you say "12 count"?

Who cares if there are 12 bristles per who cares who cares who cares who cares who cares who care It's a sweeper, and it's a broom.

What is the width of the sweeper that actually sweeps the floor?

Mine was 12 inches long and had been damaged when it arrived. For $9, I was able to locate the exact brand, which was 15" and included a dustpan. At Home Depot, it'll set you back 88 dollars. Although I enjoy Amazon, the best option for this item is Home Depot. I received a refund from Amazon for the damaged 12 inch broom. Grateful.

Why don't they make a rubber lip around the bristles of this broom so it doesn't scratch my kitchen cabinets?

That has never been an issue for me. Never go near the cabinets.

Broom of the highest quality (far superior to Libman)
5/5

For our new home, I purchased two different brooms - I'd like one for the upstairs and one for the downstairs, but I'm not sure which is better. By a long shot, this "O- The "Cedar Power Corner Large Angle Broom" outperformed the "Libman Precision Angle Broom" by a wide margin. Although they were both under $1, the Libman broom feels small and stiff, making it difficult to sweep a small room quickly, let alone a large one. I didn't realize the two brooms were so dissimilar. I've attached a photo, and while they appear to be visually similar, the O- In comparison to the Libman, Cedar has a different angle and just seems to enjoy sweeping. It becomes a chore as a result. The dustpan that came with the Libman was a last-minute addition, and as you can see from the photo, it's never been used in the 6 months that I've had both of these brooms. Picking up piles of dust and dog hair with a simple dustpan and hand broom (or hand vac) is far more efficient than with this broom and dustpan. Because our new home's floor is entirely made of travertine tile, I've used both of these brooms, as well as other floor cleaning tools, a lot.

DO NOT BUY THOSE BUDGET BROOMS I ordered two different "broom and standing dustpan" sets from Amazon, both of which were awful
5/5

Fortunately, I gave it a second chance and ordered this O- The Cedar Power Corner is a place where you can get some serious power This broom isn't quite up to par. However, it is far superior to the other "highly rated" Amazon brooms. We have a large tiled kitchen, and this broom makes sweeping a lot easier! Advantages: br>br> br>By far the best of the two brooms I purchased. br>The broom is a good size. It's fine for me because I'm 6'2". br>On tile floors, it easily picked up smaller debris. br>br>Cons: br>It's difficult to explain, but the bristles are "springy," which means that when you sweep at a high speed, the bristles lift from the floor and spring back into place so quickly that dirt is shot across the floor. That's probably my sweeping style, lol!.

I'm a CUSTOMER, not a garbage collector, so don't try to sell me your garbage
3/5

What the hell is this? The screw head at the bottom of the pole is made of the softest plastic you've ever felt. Because it is NOT THE SAME THREAD SIZE AS THE BROOM, the threading stripped the first time I used it. WTF? Why is it that everything these days is so messed up? GET ONE THAT IS MADE OF METAL.

DESIGN IS AWFUL
3/5

Obviously, a broom would have to be shipped in several pieces. Ok. Now that we've established that, let's move on to the next step. It's made up of four or five pieces that you'll need to put together. My recommendation is to either superglue them together (unless you need to adjust the size for some reason) or use a threat lock.
Now. My height is 5 feet and 5 inches. My old yellow ocedar, which I adored, was deteriorating and brissels were falling out, so I had to sweep it EVERY DAY (5 dogs inside). I bowed down. This one was purchased. The basic ones are much lighter. The angle of the broom has been widened. as well as the multi-piece I rest the broom against my shoulder as I sweep the filth into my dustpan. IT PULSES THE CRAP OUT OF MY HAIR EVERY SINGLE TIME! take it seriously The idea of having multiple pieces fails miserably. I'm guessing it was a man who came up with that. Anyway. In light of this, If you're short and do things the same way I do, you'll fit right in. Always keep an eye on your locks. I'm either going to chunk this broom into space or duct tape the places where it's put together. (Yes, duct taping your new broom is a good idea. ) ) YES! It's a huge letdown. I had a lot of trust in Ocedar. As a result, you've been forewarned. My advice is to get off your arse and go to Walmart to pick up a good broom. As solid as a rock. not in more than one piece.

In 30 years or more, this is the best broom I've ever owned
5/5

For the past 30 years, I've been sweeping with a straw broom. I also don't use a loud fan. I do have a push broom that I use to clean the room. When my roommate moved out, he abandoned me. So I kept my old fashioned straw broom on the porch and planned on using the push broom to keep the car clean. Now that I've had the car for a while, I've cleaned it up a bit. It didn't turn out to be a good idea. the car's one side- The port is solid along the garage wall, but there is a wooden wall on the other side that is not solid, and the bottom gap is the exact height that the push broom got stuck under the board every time I got close to it, making it a chore to push the dust, dirt, and leaves out. I didn't want to keep carrying my old broom up and down the stairs all the time, so I bought a new one for sweeping out the car. I figured I'd try something new while I was at it, so I did. I took a look at a few options on Amazon. br>br>I liked the flared out ends of this broom because they seemed to help me sweep along the house side without banging the broom or my hands against the wall. Other reviews stated that it worked well on garage concrete floors, which is exactly what I'm sweeping, so I decided to give it a shot. br>br>This is the first time I've used it, and I did it while recovering from a recent fall in which I sustained a back rib contusion. It was simple to use this broom. Not leaves, but other brownish fluffy stuff that falls off in the spring, I sweep sand and tree droppings. No problem, and I was able to get everything out of the corner where the concrete driveway meets the stairs. At this house, I've been doing it for 17 years, and today was the cleanest that spot has ever been. Normally, I would sweep with the strength of a 200-pound angry gorilla, which I am unable to do at this time. My back, too, needed some exercise to get back in shape, so I decided to do a sweeping test, which turned out to be a full-fledged job, not just a practice run, and I was able to sweep with just one arm. I then proceeded to the automobile. I wouldn't walk barefoot out there when it rains because black dust and dirt are blown in and splashed in, making it look bad. Because the yard is mostly sand, I get a lot of that blown in as well. I was able to sweep the entire area gently, with the exception of the area where the car was, which I did not want to move today. I had no trouble sweeping the dust and dirt back out into the yard along the garage wall's edges, in corners, near and slightly under the car, and especially by the openish wall side, and this broom never got stuck under the bottom board like that push broom did every time, plus with the push broom, I had to sweep each pass like three times and still fine dust would be left behind. I could easily clean the same area with just one sweep of this broom, removing dirt, dust, sand, and leaves. It's also lightweight enough to sweep the cob with one hand. They were removing webs from the carport's walls and ceiling, as well as knocking down a small wasp nest, which they were re-starting. Along edges, the handle's angle and the angle/flare of the broom's bottom are extremely helpful. The bristles on this broom, in my opinion, are more durable than those on the straw broom while remaining flexible and soft. In 17 years, I've never gotten that area as clean as I did today with such little effort, sometimes one-handed vs. the angry gorilla method. Plus, did I mention that this broom is silent? I despise listening to my neighbors' lawn mowers and blowers all day. Another reason I like brooms is that they provide good exercise without feeling like actual exercise (see my review of my manual (as in no engine) push reel lawn mower). br>br>The stick handle unscrews from the base as well, allowing the base to be used as a hand broom. Keep your eyes peeled for the open arch. I couldn't really test that part because I couldn't bend over due to my injury, but I did brush up against the wall to get a feel for it. This is by far the best broom I've ever owned. I'm going to go out and get another one to replace my old straw broom with a wooden stick handle that has been out in the elements for far too long. I'm also getting rid of the push broom because it's useless in comparison to this one. br>br>I'd say I made a wise decision here, and I'm at a loss for what to say to O- On how to improve this broom, Cedar says it's perfect as is. I bought a second one of these asses because I liked the first one so much. I wanted one in the carport and one on the front porch, so I built two. I was just out on the porch sweeping. No problem; it works well on hard surfaces. Not only that, but I went out of my way to do something unusual. Leaves like to fall from the tree into the gaps between the boards on my porch, getting stuck. I enjoy waking up barefoot outside, but I dislike stepping on the little ends of leaves that stick up; I've been cleaning them out with an old credit card cut at an angle. When I swept, I was able to push the leaves down and out by sweeping with the end of the broom head through the grooves. That's something I've never been able to do with any other broom. This eliminates the need for me to bend over or get down on my knees to complete this task. This broom head is just more flexible and allows the bristles to get into places where my other broom couldn't. I swept off the window sills and a section of the side of the house that needed to be washed, but the broom did get some dirt off. I'm glad I chose this broom because it has performed admirably in ways I could never have imagined.

The broom previously separated from the handle and swept OK for a few minutes before falling apart, which was very disappointing
3/5

I called the company hoping for some "secret information" or suggestions, but it appears to be a simple matter of screwing one end of the broom into place and tightening it. Despite my best efforts, you find yourself holding the handle and the broom falling to the floor in a matter of seconds. What a waste of time!.
