The ruffle is created by sewing a flat piece of fabric between the mattress and the springs.
They are, in fact. My old iron bed looks great with it.

I tried a one-piece bed skirt that didn't have a middle piece to go under your mattress, but it didn't work for my bed. However, because I have a framed head board, I folded the single piece to hide the frame/bed's end.
flimsy fabric.
It's very soft, easy to iron, doesn't wrinkle from my cats rubbing against it, and isn't see-through. This is a fantastic purchase.
This dust ruffle's measurements were spot on; it reaches almost to the floor without touching it. Although I had to iron it, the wrinkles were easily removed. This is a product that I strongly suggest.
The ruffle was a full queen size, and the bed was a full queen size. If the ruffle could be adjusted to fit the smaller size, that would be ideal.
I like that it has the splits in the corners, which I needed, but it's a little too long, so it doesn't fall smoothly on the floor. It still looks good and hides items under the bed, though.
Customer service is without a doubt a five-star rating. There were a few flaws in my initial order. I had a replacement in two days, thanks to the company. These come out looking really nice when you iron them. Despite the fact that I am not a huge fan of microfiber, these are perfect for a bedskirt.
The size is good and accurate.
