We tried a lot of different things to cover that unsightly box spring, but they all came undone and were impossible to keep in place. We got it, and yes, it took two of us (an 80-year-old husband and a 75-year-old wife) a long time to put it on. It's snug, but not too snug. Tucking and untucking the bed linens is now a breeze without having to remove the box spring cover. It'll stay where it's supposed to be, and I mean exactly where it's supposed to be. We chose a nice dark gray color that goes well with our decor and three shedaholic cats (two black and one gray). With 5 stars and a big cheer on the side, this was an absolutely outstanding purchase.
It's far more pleasant to deal with than a bed skirt, and it's the perfect dark, true heather grey. The grey does not have a blue tinge to it. The material is similar to that of a soft tee shirt.
This was purchased specifically to conceal two twin box springs beneath my king bed. It was a perfect fit and completed my look. There have been some negative reviews about it not fitting a king, and I wanted to explain why because I had the same problem at first: the elastic stretches up and down, not at an angle, so you must do the same corners on one end before pulling it all together on the other. It will stretch (as if you were pulling up a sheet).
It arrived quickly, and the second person helped me put it on. (I have a mattress with two box springs. ).
I have a cat, and I had to buy a new box spring for my bed a few years ago because he had scratched up my old one, which was looking terrible. When it was delivered, I just left the plastic on the box spring, figuring I'd find something to cover it with to keep the cat from scratching it (he doesn't normally scratch, but my previous box spring was one of his favorite things). After a few years, I moved and discovered that the unsightly plastic on my box spring had not been removed! So I went on a search and found this. It's incredible! Perfect size, just the right amount of stretch, nice appearance, took maybe two to three minutes to put on, and keeps the cat from scratching! This was the best $12 I've ever spent. Don't be hesitant to buy if you're thinking about it!.
I wish I'd known there was a more modern slick cover for the box spring instead of those old bed skirts from our 1980s childhoods. It appears to be very nice, and it was only $13! 99! It had plenty of room to stretch out even more, and once on, it shrank down to fit snugly around all of the edges. I'll be purchasing these for any future mattresses I purchase.
Putting this on my Queen Bed was a complete disaster. It had almost no stretch and ended up ripping a little, but it was such a pain to put on that I refused to take it off after the seam ripped, so I just tucked the rip in. It would be fantastic if it had Velcro or something similar so you could wrap it around instead of stretching it.
) Only one of them, the one facing the door, needed to be covered. There is a lot of extra space. The only conclusion we can draw is that the tag was mislabeled, despite the fact that it said 'King. ' I'm not keen on the prospect of having to purchase a second one to achieve the promised fit!.
