Because I didn't want the skirt to touch the floor, I bought a box spring cover instead of a skirt. My dogs can be mischievous at times, and they think anything that touches the floor is fair game. Anyway, when I first took the item out of the package, it smelled like a factory and was wrinkly. So I washed it and followed the manufacturer's instructions for care. It still smelled a little like a factory after that (probably because it's mostly if not entirely synthetic material), but not enough to bother me. It was simple to put it on; just follow the instructions on Amazon's picture. The top has straps. It indicates which end of the item is the top, and it is indicated by a tag on the item. I ordered the gray color, and it is not a light gray as depicted in the image, as other reviews have stated. It's a medium gray that's more blue than gray. I knew about this because of the other reviews before I bought the product, and I'm happy with it overall.
The heather gray was the color I chose. It appeals to me. What an excellent suggestion! I didn't want to deal with another dust ruffle. I'm glad I came across this.
I was tired of my king-size bed's bed skirt and thought this would be a good way to hide my box spring. Only half of what I said was correct. It looks great at the foot of the bed and covers the box spring, but it does not cover the bed frame that holds the box spring. It's of good quality and serves its purpose of concealing the seam between the two-piece box spring, but I'll eventually replace my king bed with a platform frame.
So I wrapped this around my king split adjustable mattress and it's perfect! It keeps my mattresses together while still allowing me to move either side of the bed up or down! I'm overjoyed that I finally have this, and the best part is that my sheets are now staying put. The best thing I've ever bought to keep my sanity!.
It took a lot of effort to put this together. The cover was placed on the box spring by three people. I wish there was a video to show you how to do it. I requested a king bed, but it could have been slightly larger. It's incredibly tight around my box spring, and I was afraid I'd tear it while installing it.
My bed is lower to the ground than most - A platform bed, if you will. I didn't want a dust ruffle, so this was ideal; it was a little difficult to put on, but mine didn't have the strange odor mentioned in other reviews. It took a lot of pulling and rearrangement to get it just right, but I'm happy with it now. It conceals the box spring, giving my bed a beautiful appearance.
Perfect for hiding those unsightly box springs! A simple metal frame supports some of our guest beds. We covered them with these box spring covers, which look fantastic, especially since our frames show the entire box spring. There are no wrinkles, and they are a perfect fit!.
Though this was supposed to cover the entire thing, including one side, similar to a fitted sheet but with added protection. It merely conceals the edges. 😑.
