The purchase I made made me very happy. What's the point of paying $40 for a skirt that becomes obsolete once you drop the mattress? I needed a solid color with a 12 in drop, so why spend that much money? There is a slight component of truth to the claim that it is not a true navy blue. I think the Pottery Barn crib sheet matches just fine, and the color isn't super dark navy blue, but it very much depends on which crib sheet you buy. Fabric is not thick, but it looks nice on the crib, and I am pleased with In the following picture, you can see that I have not ironed the skirt or the bedsheet yet.
In addition to knowing the length is not that traditional, you do not need this length if you want a full-length crib skirt. Babyletto Hudson cribs have a 12" skirt under the bottom of the crib that makes them modern looking, like my Babyletto Hudson. Sadly, Babyletto's crib skirts were not in stock very often. Only reason why it's getting a one-star deduction is that there is no packaging or tag on the package The shipping envelope just needs to be folded up. In the event that I was planning to give this as a gift, it would have been odd to give something like this away.
The purpose of this item is solely ornamental. The end of the crib springs dip down at the front (see picture), but this is due to the angle of the springs. An adjustment like this is easy.
I love the color of this. Initially I wanted navy blue, however, I wanted some color contrast between the sheet and skirt. I have one complaint. I have our crib set to the highest setting, and this skirt drags on the floor about 3 inches, which will make it worse when I lower the crib. Although I don't think I can live without it for $10, I can deal.
My goal was to get a cheap crib skirt that covered the bed frame and this fit the bill perfectly. Despite the fact that I absolutely needed navy blue, the color could perhaps be a little off because of the way our crib is positioned, the skirt isn't that important. In our nursery, white, grey/silver and navy blue are the main colors. This ties in nicely with that, and you can't even tell that it's not navy blue unless you bend down to examine it closely. The blue of the denim appears to be washed out and not saturated, as if it had been painted with white acrylic paint I painted with acrylic in blue. These crib skirts look to have been made from a navy cloth that was washed multiple times before being used.
Blue from the Aegean sea is more faded than true. It was just as well that I read reviews before purchasing since I wasn't in need of a spot on navy. The product I received was fully disclosed to me, so I am satisfied. The key reason why I gave it 4 stars is that it didn't fit perfectly in my crib, but that is also an issue with how the crib is made. All in all, I think this is an excellent dust ruffle for just a couple of bucks.
The other reviews were good, but for the price, I didn't care if the color was slightly off, etc.
To be honest, this is just a cheap item. It's made out of that thin material that your sheets were made of when you were in college, without a pleat. I also think the color isn't dark enough as other people have stated, which does not look like I want it to. There is only one positive thing about this order the price is reasonable- It is likely that I will.
