I'd like to assure you that it will not leak. The mattress protector is on the trundle portion of a day bed as well as the day bed itself. When the day bed is not in use, my dogs sleep on the trundle pull out. The mattress was fine after one of my dogs puked on the trundle.
It isn't at all noisy. I've covered both the box spring and the mattress in my queen-sized bed, and there's no noise at all; I'm not even aware it's there until I change the sheets. It's also worth noting that if you have no reason to believe you have a bed bug problem, it may appear superfluous. Until I read the terms of my lease, I would never have considered it. I had never experienced bed bugs, but when I read that disclaimer, it occurred to me that I was moving into an apartment that had previously been occupied by the previous tenants. What if the previous tenants brought bed bugs into the house with them on their mattresses? Under the terms of my lease, it would be my responsibility, not the property owners'. Even if the risk is small, the consequences would be disastrous, and under the terms of my lease, I would be solely responsible for solving the problem. So, if it turned out that bud bugs had been left behind by a previous tenant, these products would at the very least prevent the bugs from taking up residence in my high-quality mattress and box springs. Fortunately, no evidence of bedbugs has been discovered, but I continue to sleep with the covers on. They also prevent dust from accumulating on the box spring and mattress.
There is also a vinyl version for the same price, but this is the 'polyester fabric' version, which is basically microfiber with a thin soft rubbery sealant on the back of the fabric. I haven't tested it against large spills or bodily fluids yet, but it does repel dampness and sweat fairly well. This is on my own bed, and I really like the way it feels. It's a smooth fabric that doesn't crinkle as much as vinyl.

While dealing with the bug problem, this product actually provided a new home for the bugs, as the zipper is covered by velcro. After spending a lot of money and time to fix the problem in the rest of the house, there were new outbreaks caused by this product, and they retreated into the velcro, rebirthing a new plague of drama. This is only useful as a bed cover if you have a bedwetter or simply want to protect your mattress. It's deceptive marketing to claim that your product is bug-free. I'll have to put up with the bug until I can save up some cash again. By the way, anyone looking for an instant kill solution should use windex, whether it's the brand name or the generic version. If you look closely, you'll notice that those little biting a- It is sprayed into the holes, and whatever is hit dies in a matter of seconds: At this point, Windex is the only thing that is keeping these pesky insects at bay. It hasn't been a perfect cure, but it's the best I can do at the moment. I'd like a refund for the multiple units of this product I purchased, but I'm having trouble getting it.
I went to unzip the cover right out of the package, and the metal piece slipped right off at the end of the zipper. When I looked closer, I noticed that the stitching on that end of the zipper was completely undone and falling apart, indicating that it was clearly not bug proof. The item is being returned.
They still prefer to spend the night with me. My bed was flooded last night with my daughter's pull up. There was water everywhere- There are sheets, blankets, and even a pillow in the room. What wasn't wet, you ask? This is my bed. This waterproof cover is hands down the best waterproof cover I've ever purchased. There was so much pee in my bed that it would have ruined my mattress if I hadn't used this cover. I'm going to buy a second one right now because I didn't think about having a backup while the first one was being washed. This item was purchased in order to protect a new mattress due to its alleged waterproof properties. This item is not water resistant. It was cleaned up and dried after it was discovered that there had been a urine accident. Because the urine soaked through the 'waterproof' cover after removing the mattress cover, the brand new mattress was ruined. Not only are we out the cost of the protector, but we've also squandered the money we spent on a new mattress because we'll never be able to get rid of the urine odor and will have to throw it away. br>br>Poor product that fails to deliver on its promises.
I gave the carpet a good vacuuming. Headboard, nightstand, and dresser all have a light dusting. The air registers and blinds had been vacuumed. I'm still congested, blowing my nose all night, and sleeping badly. During the day, it causes more snoring and exhaustion. While on Amazon, I came across this. Because of the low price, I decided to give it a shot, and BOOM. It had always been my mattress. I didn't even have a sniffle, and there were no tissues on the floor from blowing my nose three nights in a row. I thought it was the mattress, which was a little gross. Years ago, I had something similar, but it didn't work well and was quite noisy. I have no idea if this is on. Thanks for the quick delivery and excellent value; this will change my life. Update. br>br> 1/27/18. I began to sniff and became congested once more. A new one was just purchased. It is significantly less expensive than purchasing a new mattress. It was only about a year long. It was well worth the $20.
My kids brought lice home from school with them. As a result, we had to cover everything in order to keep them safe. These were a great success. They're simple to put on and without a doubt helped us get rid of the lice quickly, but they're HUGE! They were far too large for all of our mattresses, including my daughter's 14" pillow top mattress. The extra fabric makes sheets look odd and don't fit properly, and it traps air that needs to be released to avoid a "balloon" effect; it also makes the mattress hot, is noisy, and is uncomfortable to sleep on.
The cover appears to do what it claims, and I appreciate the fact that it provides complete coverage! The zippers are strong, and I had no trouble getting it over my mattress. I haven't had any spills, so I can't say for sure if it's waterproof, but the material appears to be capable of withstanding sweat, water, and other liquids/spills. Because of the material used, there is a slight rustling noise when shifting, but it isn't bothersome in any way (in my opinion). br>br>My only complaint is that the slick material causes my sheets to shift out of place during the night. It would be nice if the mattress protector had some texture to grip the sheet instead of sliding over it. br>br>It's also designed to fit up to a 16" mattress, so if yours is smaller, expect bunching and ripples. I'm the owner of a king-sized bed-and-breakfast. Zinus and the protector are frequently bunched in the morning, and no matter how tightly they're tucked, there are always ripples beneath my sheet. It's not a huge deal, but who wants to tuck a fitted sheet under the mattress once more? time after time nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn A textured top could help, but I think I should've just gotten a smaller-sized top instead. sized brand. br>br>I'll keep using it for the time being, but I'll probably buy something that won't slip as much later.
It simply did not do what I had hoped it would do based on the advertisement. Bedbugs continued to infest the room and seep through the zippers. At the very least, I hoped it would keep the eggs from spreading. They managed to find a way out in the end!.
