Over the weekend, my son had an accident and I want to tell you about it. There is not a single drop of water that can penetrate the mattress protector! I found out that the material supposedly 100% waterproof had completely soaked through the urine when I unzipped it to take it off! It was quite frustrating to discover that I spent $40 on this protector only to find out it was a complete waste of my money and now I have no way to only that, but this mattress protector failed to protect my son's BRAND NEW mattress and I had to scrub and clean it. you are just looking for a cover for your mattress, this product would probably work just fine, but if you have young kids who can/do wet the bed, I would not recommend purchasing this product!
