My 5-year-old daughter's head always falls to the side when she sleeps, so this strawberry neck pillow is perfect for car rides. When I use all of my strength, it squishes down to about a half-inch thick. I was afraid it wouldn't be as comfortable as I expected, but it was. It's comfortable and soft for my daughter, she says. She carries it around with her and uses it to watch television and listen to bedtime stories when I read them to her.
It was very well received by my granddaughter. It's super cute, super soft, and super cushy. It could use a little more filling to make it firmer and less floppy, but it's still not bad. The inside seam of the middle section of this pillow came apart, which was my only issue with it. The seam wasn't ripped, but the thread couldn't hold it together. So, after only ONE USE, I had to sew the pillow's seam back together for about 4 inches. At the very least, it should have lasted a single use. Fixing it wasn't too difficult for me, but it might be for someone who doesn't sew. Because these pillows are primarily intended for children, I believe they will be able to withstand some rough handling.
This was purchased for our trip to Disney World, but it was already falling apart by the end of the first flight. We do not recommend it. Our toddler could easily put the stuffing in her mouth because it was coming out of the band. There is a significant risk of serious injury.
For the first month or so, his neckroll was perfect, but then it began to sag in the middle. Unlike memory foam, which is supposed to rebound, this one stays smashed. So far, I haven't tried to clean it. The cover isn't removable, so I'm hesitant to throw it in the washing machine.
I bought this for my little yorkie because she has a severely collapsed trachea and needs to sleep with her head elevated or her trachea will close and she will die. However, finding something the right size (she's only 3lbs) and comfortable enough for her to use was difficult. This pillow, on the other hand, is absolutely ideal in every way. Perhaps not harsh enough to loosen the stuffing. I don't think a child would be able to use this pillow comfortably.

It arrived in a fairly flat state when it was shipped. I thought you might be able to inflate it, but it's just like a flat pillow. Yes, it's like when you buy a fluffy pillow and it flattens out over time, but it's brand new. I'm not sure if it'll be comfortable for my two-year-old to wear, but we'll give it a shot. I'm not sure if it was because I ordered other things and whoever packed the box at Amazon didn't give a damn, but when I opened it, it was flat. My adult travel neck pillow, which I purchased somewhere else, appears to be normal, but this one is completely flat.
