What difference does it make anyway? The throw is a shambles in and of itself. The lowest setting heats up to the point of being dangerously hot. Control is mounted in the center of your chest, and you should return it almost immediately. Look for one that isn't the same as the one you are currently using.
Sunbeam certainly adds to the confusion. They have a large banner that says 5 year limited warranty in the description. However, if you read the description to the bottom and read the Warranty pdf attachment, it states that it comes with a one-year limited warranty. I bought it in January, and now it's May, and there's a short in the wiring inside the blanket near where the electric cord connects. When you turn the cord one way, it works; when you turn it the other way, it doesn't. Because the Amazon returns window has closed, and the Assurant extended warranty will not kick in until the manufacturer's warranty has expired, which isn't clear when that will be. As a result, Sunbeam must be contacted. So far, I've been pleased with the blanket!
a painting measuring 50" x 60" I bought it as a throw because it's not big enough to cover the top of my full/double bed. It's just the right size for me (a taller woman) to curl up in my recliner with.
Yes, the wires can be felt. The blanket, on the other hand, is soft enough not to irritate.

This would be a 5 star rating if only based on function. The wires to the controller are stiff and unsightly, so I gave it a four. Feeling the wires inside the blanket was mentioned in a few other reviews I read: They are undoubtedly present, but I do not believe they constitute a problem. The wires in the blanket can only be felt if you actively seek them out. They aren't noticeable when using the blanket. br>br> The blanket itself is soft and comfortable. Even though the materials aren't Merino wool or anything special, they have a nice feel to them. DON'T SPEND YOUR MONEY IN THIS WAY. I'm not sure if I got a bad one, but this blanket hasn't worked since the moment I plugged it in. I left it on high for more than an hour and it didn't even get close to heating up. It's not only ineffective as a heated blanket; it's also a bad blanket in general. It's tiny, paper-thin, stinks like chemicals or a factory, and isn't soft in the least.
The remote has no resemblance to what you're used to seeing. It was a disaster. The remote does not resemble the one shown in the image. The remote is a brownish gray color rather than white, and the connector is on the outside of the blanket, which is unsightly, and the blanket barely warms.
The fact that this blanket has a huge, hideous warning tag on the front is not mentioned. What are you talking about? I tried everything I could to get rid of it, but it's stuck there like it's supposed to be permanent. Again, why would you ruin a perfectly good-looking blanket with this obnoxious tag? It's not worth the risk of damaging the blanket by attempting to remove it. But I'm not going to keep this.
It only lasted a month before giving up the ghost.
Please do not waste your time. After 3 weeks, turn the heat down to half-power. Unfortunately, as cute and comfy as this throw is, it only heats a small portion of the blanket after three weeks of daily use. I WAS IN LOVE WITH THIS PRODUCT AT FIRST, BUT I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE BRAND AND THE PRICE. SO BUMMED. I'm suffering from health issues, and returning would be too exhausting. UGH. Don't be concerned about the cost.
This heated throw is extremely plush and comfortable. It definitely keeps you warm and, to be honest, the sherpa lining makes it even more so. I wish the control cable was a little longer or positioned on the side of the throw instead of the bottom - However, it appears that it is in the same location for all brands. This is one I ordered for myself, and I'll be ordering more as gifts. This honey color is light and airy, and it complements any style of decor. I can't think of anyone who doesn't like it. One word of warning (or delight): this is a cuddly cat magnet!.
Soft "sherpa" naps/pills quickly and turns nasty: 6 months ago, I purchased this. At first, I was completely enamored with it. Although I own a lot of Sunbeam products and have used them for a long time, this is one product you should avoid. The first month of use with the soft blanket was fantastic. Then, as another reviewer pointed out, it quickly became nappy. Now I have a not-so-soft, thin blanket that, even on its highest setting, doesn't seem to provide much warmth. I'm going to throw it out and order a new blanket from Amazon right now.
