It's a controller with one end plugged into the blanket's bottom and the other into an electrical outlet. At least, that's how it is in my house. There is no such thing as a "remote" control.
When it's below freezing outside, I might add a blanket on top to help keep the heat in because, as you know, heat rises and it's on top of you, so the heat is already going away from your body. I like it a lot. I have the king size, and it's nice that my husband's side doesn't get as hot as my side. I hope this information is useful to you.
Yes. Warm, gentle cycle in the washing machine Do not dry clean this item.
It's all digital, there's no voice, and the heat is controlled by a single set of buttons that go up and down. Starts with the last setting on the other set of buttons is the timer up and down up to maximum 9. 5 hours, 30 minutes at a time Pushing the buttons produces a loud click... I've had it for 2 years and it's great...

This one appealed to me because it is beneficial to those who suffer from arthritis. There are ten settings according to the product information, and they all worked when I first got it in October of this year. It was no longer functional after a few weeks. It appears that it is always warm, regardless of the setting. I didn't put the electric cords under the mattress, despite the fact that it says not to. Didn't fold, didn't fold. I sat on it rather than putting it on top of the covers. My question is that this has been a problem with electric blankets for years; isn't there anything that can be done to improve them so that they last longer? UPDATE: I bought this blanket eight months ago and couldn't find the washing instructions, so I decided to look for them online. I paid $45 for it. It was $79 when I bought it, but it's now $88. How is it possible for a 99-cent item to cost twice as much?.
This blanket was purchased to replace a 20-year-old blanket that had become worn out. year- old Sunbeam that seemed to take a long time to heat up With this blanket, I turn it on high while getting ready for bed, and the bed is toasty in no time, allowing me to turn it off and stay warm all night under a comforter. My only criticism is that there is no light to indicate whether the blanket is on. I haven't washed the blanket yet, so I'm hoping it will continue to work well after a trip through the washing machine. When you turn it on, a light turns on for a few seconds before turning off. Even after you turn it off, it doesn't flash again, so you can't tell if the blanket is on in the dark.
I don't like heavy velour or "plush," and there are no coil gaps as described in other brands' reviews. It heats up quickly and has an auto shut-off timer that you can adjust manually. When you touch the blanket, it illuminates the heat level, and it has two controls. br>br>It's a couple of inches longer than my previous king-size electric blanket. I have a California king (which is slightly longer than the Eastern king - see below). which is commonly referred to as "king," and this was an important consideration because I could never tuck my previous one in at the foot of the bed without severely short-blanketing the bed.
Because I live near Sacramento, CA, where temperatures rarely fall below 20 degrees or rise above 32 degrees, I've only had to use the highest setting of 5. In just a few minutes, you'll be able to jump into a warm bed. This is without a doubt the best blanket I've ever used. Although the price appears to be excessive for a twin, I believe I got my money's worth in this case.
I use my electric blankets every day for joint and muscle pain, and I've had quite a few. This one has excellent controls and adjustable shut off times on each side. This electric blanket replaced a lighter weight electric blanket, and it's a little heavier than I'm used to. That may appeal to me once winter arrives, but it feels oppressive right now. I bought it because of the price and the Serta name, as I've had bad experiences with Biddeford and Sunbeam, and Royal Velvet is no longer available.
This blanket has time and heating limits, which I like. I don't always require heat for the entire night; in fact, most heated blankets only allow you to adjust the heat level, not the time.
We have our doubts about the durability because the material is average, not a high-quality weave, but since it is brand new, only time will tell. I haven't washed my clothes in a long time. The bed is warmed by the heating blanket, but the display module is difficult to use. We thought we had it set to warm for 1 hour on setting 6, but it stayed on the entire night. After 30 minutes on setting 5, the display screen read "8. ".

It appears to be defective as well as having been used previously. The white paint around the heat and time buttons has worn off, indicating that this item has been used previously. Despite this, I followed the instructions to the letter, and the remote displayed an "E1 error" on several occasions.
