Hello, yes, this will keep your entire upper body warm; I'm currently wearing mine and I love it. I can feel the heating wires, and there appear to be eight on each side that run up and down. They're about two inches apart and start about three inches in from the front opening and go out to about three inches past the pocket's outer edge, leaving about seven inches without a wire on the sides where this doesn't make much body contact; it's nice and big and plush. I'm completely warm right now, including my neck and arms, so I believe this would be ideal for you. I wish I had a pair of pants that matched, ha ha! I hope it appeals to you.
Although I did not receive a complimentary item, the heated shawl is fantastic! Even on the coldest nights, it will keep you warm! I bought two last year and have only recently brought them out for the winter. This is a fantastic product that I wholeheartedly recommend!

It sounded like a fantastic plan - have a heated shawl you could unplug and carry around when you weren't sitting in a chair However, after using it (and finding no documentation to support this), we discovered that unplugging it and walking around with it is a very inconvenient process. You unplug the cord from the shawl, which is a little difficult due to the design of the plug, but not impossible. When you return and re-plug it, you must also unplug and re-plug the cord into the shawl. To get the control wand to reset and start heating the shawl again, unplug the power cord from the outlet. This isn't documented anywhere, and it makes for an inconvenient heated shawl. There should be controls on the control unit/wand that allow you to re-start the device heating the shawl without having to unplug and re-plug the cord from the wall. This shawl would be completely unusable for someone who is frail or has mobility issues. Others find it to be an unnecessary annoyance or inconvenience.
After I bought it, I only got to use it for about a month. After that, I had to fold and unplug it in preparation for the spring and fall seasons. I took it out of storage the other day and plugged it in, only to discover that it was no longer functional. The lights are blinking, but they are not warming up. These shawls were purchased for other members of my family. I had an issue with the control and only one side heating up, which was a fantastic gift. When I contacted the company, they were extremely accommodating. I immediately took care of it. It's a pleasure to work with this company.
Pure Enrichment has provided me with four heating pads. I have three smaller heating pads that I use on a couch, but I needed a large one for my workstation because I work from home for long periods of time every day. When I'm sitting in my office chair, this PureRelief Heated Shawl keeps my legs and back warm. I tried a heating blanket from other brands before, but the customer service at Pure Enrichment was outstanding, so I have been using Pure Enrichment on a regular basis.
I have bursitis in my shoulders, and using a regular heating pad on the shoulder area was difficult. This was made specifically for my needs, and it is extremely soft. Because it is a shawl, it has a large fit, and my husband occasionally steals it from me. LOL. If you want a cuddly, warm, and soft heated comfort shawl, this is the shawl for you. In addition, the front pocket is useful. I couldn't have asked for a better birthday present.
This shawl is extremely soft and comfortable to wear, especially after a long day at the office. My dog always wants to lay on it when I take it off, so I like that they provide a storage bag for it.
