This isn't going to work. It didn't work on the first day. I set it up according to the instructions, but it does not work as expected. br>br>On the low setting, one side becomes unbearably hot and refuses to turn off (I have to unplug it). Unless it's on high, the other side does not heat. br>br>This was the first time I had ever used it! It was broken right out of the box. I'm disgusted and annoyed. This was not a cheap purchase! Argh! br>br> I'm so fed up with things that don't work! Isn't there a company that makes a heated blanket or mattress pad that will last more than a week?.
I received the blanket in a timely manner. I really like the fabric mix. The blanket warms up quickly, leaving you feeling toasty warm and cozy. The cord leading from the bottom of the bed is too short to allow the controller to be placed on the bed stand; instead, it must be placed on the floor. This blanket is fantastic in general.
I was blown away by how quickly everything came together. It's very easy to use, and it quickly warms up the bed; I had no idea how much better my sleep would be if I slept in a warm bed. It has greatly improved my sleep by making me less restless.
We didn't even have to plug in the blanket because it's so warm! The first night we plugged it in (it was 20 degrees outside in Flagstaff, Arizona), and we awoke hot and sweaty in our camper. We left it unplugged on subsequent nights in similarly cool climates (Monument Valley, Socorro, NM) and were perfectly comfortable without it. On cold nights at home, we put it on our bed.
My mother had given it to me as a birthday present! I have severe RA (Rheumatoid Arthritis) in both knees, as well as osteoporis and a torn labrum in my hip! This blanket is just the right amount of warm for my aching body. I like how big it is and how it has two controls. It's something my mother and I have in common. We can both set it to our own comfort level because she has a lot of aches and pains as well. It's not like a heating pad, which is what I expected; at first, I was disappointed that it didn't get hotter, but then I realized that no one could stand that much heat for such a long time if it did; it also has a timer up to 12 hours and adjustable heating 1- I did notice that it had a stay on feature, which I have yet to figure out. But if you want it to stay on for that long, just set the timer to 12 hours; the cleaning is simple, and it comes with instructions on how to keep your blanket in perfect condition without harming it! This has proven to be the best blanket purchase to date. It's a huge hit with both of us! Thank you so much once more!.
This heated blanket is the best; I've bought many over the years and this one is the best; I've paid a lot more for some of my previous heated blankets, but for the price, this blanket is the best; it's soft, lightweight, and warm. You don't realize the wires are there until you turn it on because they're so small and pliable. The control box is kept flat on my nightstand, but the numbers are difficult to read in the dark. In the dark, it would be preferable if the control box remained lit. The blanket, on the other hand, is a keeper because it is so comfortable to sleep with. I'm going to buy a few more for other members of my family.
This one was purchased for a variety of reasons, all of which have turned out to be successful.
1. I only want to use one side of it, but it has two temperature settings. What I didn't expect, and what I love about it, is that each side plugs into its own outlet, which means I don't have to set up the other side, which is fantastic from a safety standpoint.
2. It's a little more substantial than most electric blankets. I wanted this primarily because I prefer the feel of heavier blankets, but I had also read reports of electric blankets slipping around due to their light, slick fabric. br>br>I agree that it's difficult to see the control in the middle of the night because it doesn't light up, but I wouldn't want it to be lit up all the time, so if I had to choose between the two, I'd prefer it to turn on only when I press the button. br>Also, keep in mind that you can only have a sheet between you and the blanket if you want to feel the warmth.
We've purchased other heated blankets in the past, but none of them have been as nice as this one. Soft to the touch!.
