It's all made of a plush, soft fabric.
Because the cover isn't removable, it stays put. It's also extremely plush.
When I tried to remove the chord from the pad, it became detached from the triangle-shaped connection plug at one of the heating pad's corners. To avoid tearing out of the pad, you may need to pull a little harder while holding the triangle-shaped item. I hope this has been of assistance.
Not a good product; I bought two in a year because they both stopped working after six months. It is backed by a lifetime warranty. I'm looking for a way to reclaim my funds. Don't throw your money away.

I've never used it past the low setting because it's too hot to bear. It will feel as if it is barely on after a few minutes. After only a few uses, the controller is making a crackling noise, and I'm afraid it'll catch fire, which is a real shame because the heating pad is a nice size and plush. It would have been fantastic if we could have done: (br>br>EDITORIAL NOTE: While I cannot change my star rating due to the product, I must say that this company provided EXCEPTIONAL customer service. They replaced my heating pad for free after I contacted them. Unfortunately, the second one they sent did exactly the same thing as the first, which was a major letdown. However, my money was refunded. Everything was also completed within a short period of time. I received the replacement heating pad in a matter of days, and I believe the refund was processed the same day. I wish this heating pad had worked out because I would buy more from this company based solely on their customer service.
For my child's earache in 1994, I bought a small GE heating pad. It's still functional and useful. I guess I took it for granted that all heating pads were the same. My assumptions were incorrect. On May 22, 2018, I bought this heating pad from Figerm. After three or four uses, it stopped working in August of 2018. At the very least, it is a defective product that is not worth the money. br>br>**UPDATE** July 2019: Shortly after I posted my negative review of this product, the customer service team contacted me and offered to send me a new heating pad to make things right. I took them up on their offer, and I'm glad I did. They sent a heating pad, which is still working after nearly a year. It's soft and generously proportioned, and it's helped a lot of people with their aching shoulders. I'm satisfied with the product, and I was pleasantly surprised by the prompt and competent customer service.
Because of the comments about it not getting warm enough, I almost didn't order it. This, on the other hand, does get quite hot. I've only ever used the lowest setting, and it was hot enough to make me sweat. Electric blankets are designed to be used in the space between your sheet and your comforter. As a result of the comforter's ability to retain heat.
Due to a chronic autoimmune disease, I suffer from poor circulation and am frequently cold, even in the summer. Some of this is probably due to my husband's preference for an arctic blast when the air conditioner is turned on. This soft and cozy blanket heats up to a comfortable temperature, not too hot to make me sweat, but just warm enough to feel like a "warm hug," as Olaf puts it. It has three temperature settings, but I couldn't tell which was which except for high. Perhaps a child or someone who is thinner would be more comfortable with them. It has a four-hour emergency shutoff, but I've never needed it. The blanket is about the size of a medium-sized throw blanket. That's fine for a lap blanket, but not for a full-fledged wraparound blanket. I may get another one later in a larger style, similar to the one I gave my father this winter, but for now, this blanket is perfect for snuggling up on the couch.
The only positive aspect of this heating pad is its softness. The temperature fluctuates a lot. Heat either does not exist or causes you to be burned. It will simply cease to function and the controller's light will begin to blink. As a result, you'll have to unplug it several times to reset it. This heating pad is a pain to use.
I've only had this item for a few days, and I've already used it twice. Before I go to bed, I'll use it once more. It's very beautiful. Soft, pliable, and unquestionably warm. I haven't tried it wet, but it feels like a fluffy blanket when it's dry. It claims to heat up in three seconds, according to the product description. And it does warm up, but it takes a little longer than 3 seconds for it to reach its full potential. Perhaps they meant three seconds until you notice the product is warming up. The controls are extremely simple to operate. Low is one button press, medium is two, high is three, and off is four button presses. I haven't tried to wash it or unplug it from the cord, but I have slept on it. I'll admit that the High heat level appears to vary slightly. It got so hot that I had to turn it down to medium, but once I turned it back up to high, everything was fine, and there hasn't been a problem since. If there is one, you can be sure I'll come back to revise this review! The only reason this heating pad does not receive five stars is because of the heat fluctuation. (Three new photos have been added. ).
This blanket is super soft and covers my entire body, even though I'm only 5'4". The only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't heat up as quickly as I'd like, even on high, and the heat isn't evenly distributed. It's made in China and is way too expensive.
I bought two of these heating pads, one for myself and one for my husband, because they are comfortable, quick to heat up, have three heat settings, and cover the entire low back area (both of our problem areas). Unfortunately, one of them burned out after only two weeks, but I was given a refund and a free replacement after communicating with the seller. This heating pad appeals to me and I'd like to give it another try. I'm very happy with my purchase!.
