The have been able to help me quite a bit. When you have thick fabric I would suggest using a sharp scissor point first, and then inserting the push pin gently, rotating it until desired tightness occurs. I use these to secure a bedskirt, and they work fine as long as you don't rush the process.
In the case of holding a bedskirt on, I assume if you are not screwing into wood, they will hold it. It is likely that you would have to screw into the upholstery on the sides of the box springs since they usually have plywood tops.
On the package is Chinese lettering, even though it does not state where it comes from.

The upholstery tacks are a great way to hold plastic covers for pets in place, so I've used them to secure a new sofa and now a chaise lounge. As a result of my satisfaction, I have now ordered a second box to complete my project. All of the boxes arrived in good condition. This adhesive is easy to apply to upholstery fabric to secure clear plastic. This is where I nailed these to the arms and back of the couch and then I taped them up with clear packaging tape to prevent children or pets from getting at them. If they are allowed to loosen themselves over time, the tape would keep them from falling to the floor where the pets can get to them, or where someone can step on them. It is a very good tack and we would recommend it to anyone. We will have to wait and see how the covers do once the furniture is sat on and the tacks holding the plastic covers in place are removed. In addition to the sofa cover, I purchased it on I am also using an extra long shower curtain liner on the chaise lounge, which I also purchased from Amazon.
I am able to keep my bedskirt in place with these pins. A drooping bedskirt that does not seem straight is the worst. The pins I used didn't move and I used them after that. Three of them were used at the corners because that part of the mattress moves so much with making the bed, changing sheets, etc. I don't know if it was necessary, but I didn't want to run the risk of it slipping.
The pins bent out to 1/3 when trying to screw them into the You had to hold the tip just right to prevent it from bending.
In reading comments about the bed skirt slipping after installation I decided to purchase a new bed skirt (the kind with elastic that stretches around the box spring). Consequently, I decided to order a box of these twist pins as well. As soon as I got the hang of using them, I found that they worked well to secure the bed skirt to the box spring, and that they assured no In the end, I only used 11 of the 50 twist pins, so I have a lot left over for another project.
In addition, I have a comfy upholstered chair with arm covers that seem to continually fall on the floor or become bunched up on the seat. Those little marvels were able to stop all that annoying nonsense within a short period of time. Easy to install and they hold securely without causing any damage to surface materials. The only thing I regret is not buying them years ago. Considering the quantity, this is a very affordable product. In addition to the current pack, I plan to purchase another one so I can have them on hand!.
Better quality than the pins from Wal Mart and out of catalogs that I have purchased in the past. The only request I would make is for a company of this type to make the heads round, no design or patterns. It is because of this fact that I use pins of this type to hold over the head and arm covers of recliners and sofas- The pins are designed with some type of pattern on the tops, which leaves you scratching the heck out of yourself! This Texas gal's going to Texas.
A wrapper is held by each of them I have had no trouble with my bed skirt adhering to my mattress, regardless of how many bedding changes I make.
While they were firmly screwed in, they kept coming out once I attached clear plastic sheets to the edge of my couch in an effort to keep my cat from scratching. I just did not find it to be particularly effective for what I needed.
