There is no other word to describe these pins other than JUNK. The screws failed within the first second of use when used on foam boards of very light weight and very porous texture. This was seen many years ago, but I have not used them yet. Amazon has it still available, so there's no reason to panic. We used these as arm caps to attach to a sofa whose arm portion where I usually sit is showing a lot of wear. The screw wire must be firmly twisted into the slot, so there is no give or it will pop out when the nut is tightened. They hold one arm cap firmly in place, and I used about eight of them on it. Having said that, they are solid, so they are not that noticeable, even if your sofa is covered in a print fabric. This is a product I strongly.
