I purchased this pillow for the first time in 2/2020. At the time, it was a very firm pillow. After 8 months, the pillow is still wonderfully firm and big, it's like sleeping with a tall person on top of it. In 10/2020, I ordered another one, and this time the pillow is extremely uncomfortable. I bought my first one several years ago, but they've changed it since then. There is no hard edge to it, and it's soft, squishy, I went from pound cake to uncooked doughy pretzel in a matter of minutes. switched to a different brand of pillows. The Utopia King sized pillows are also soft and squishy and they lack support To get good support out of a pillow of any kind, I recommend going with a different brand. Especially if you want it firm.
There is one on Amazon, but it's a little pricey. I got my from overstock, but Walmart has them as well. They are also sold at Walmart. This body pillow has been my favorite for quite a while now. I love how soft and comfortable it is. bought the pillow to replace an old one which had turned yellow and was starting to flatten out. As soon as I opened the box, I found a thin plastic zipper bag, which was partially unzipped, containing the pillow. My initial concern was that the pillow was damaged, but it appeared to be in good condition. If you untie the ribbon from the plastic bag and spread it out flat when you first remove it from the bag, it will lay As soon as you open the vacuum sealed bag, it fluffs up more. In the instructions, there are a few options for fluffing it up even more. I chose to do it by hand since I did not have any clean tennis balls to put them in the dryer with. Trying to get comfortable in bed feels like wrestling with a bear, but as soon as I am in bed, I sleep like a baby all night long. While it can be hefty and large, I am very happy with it even though it is heavy and big. I've been sleeping with the slim pillow between my knees, and hugging the small pillow for years. As a result, I now have this gorgeous body pillow that is SO comfortable I sleep like a baby and am less aching as well. Mostly I researched through the reviews to get a feel as I thought going by what the actual buyers and users of the product had to say was more useful than the reviews made by the company. They would also mention flattening out, etc. Some even posted in their ads that they could be washed, but any person who has ever washed fiberfill knows that it comes out lumpy and hard after the process. This company at least was honest with me and did not try to create a false impression. The rate of flattening will be apparent in 6 months or so. After that, I will attempt to keep in mind to write another review (if they allow me to).
